IIM Bangalore is ranked at 31st position in 2016 SCM World University 100’ survey conducted by SCM World.
Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has been ranked at 31st position in the ‘2016 SCM World University 100’ survey conducted by SCM World. It’s matter of pride for all of us. However, equally impressive is the fact that IIM Bangalore is the only Asian management school that found a place in 2016 SCM Ranking.
Ranked with universities like the University of Texas at Austin, University of Michigan, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, INSEAD and Stanford University among many others is a matter of pride for India. The ranking is based on the data collected from more than 2000 supply chain professionals.
IIM Bangalore started a Supply Chain Management Centre (SCMC) a decade ago for the closer interaction and enduring industry collaboration. In addition to this, distinguished faculty and prominent research in many areas of supply chain management helped IIMB in achieving this feat.
Based on the survey wherein more than 2000 supply chain professionals were to select three top universities that can be considered as supply chain talent makers. For this purpose, three points were awarded for the institute that ranks on the top, two for the second position and one for the third position. However, the final ranking was based on the total scaled score other than the total number of votes.
