The Indian Institute of Calcutta will soon be starting a Post Graduate Certificate in General Management (PGCGM) programme, which is to help executives with two to five years of experience.
Considering a growing demand for management programmes and their effective application for solving various managerial problems, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta will start the Post Graduate Certificate in General Management (PGCGM) programme in the near future. The programme is aimed to cater to the executives having a working experience of two to five years.

The basic idea behind starting this Post Graduate Certificate in General Management programme is to develop competence among executives in the theoretical foundations of the management.
This programme also seeks to inculcate broad based understanding of how the theories of management can be applicable to managerial problems.
Last but not the least is the fact that this PGCGM programme is developed in collaboration with different academic groups at IIM Calcutta only. Hence, it offers a clear understanding of the effective practice of management at different levels of management.
PGCGM Programme: Key Notes
PGCGM programme of the IIM Calcutta will be designed as a part-time programme and will be delivered in the direct to device mode. The course is aimed to help aspiring candidates with the opportunity to develop applied competency when it comes to general management.
As per the professor Uttam Kumar Sarkar, Dean, New Initiatives and External Affairs, IIM Calcutta said, "The demand among young working professionals for having access to state-of-the-art general management education from a premier institutes like IIM Calcutta from the convenience of their home or office without having to leave their jobs has hitherto remained under-served. To fulfil this expectation IIM Calcutta has conceived this innovative PGCGM programme aimed at working executives having two to five years' experience."
