Average Stipend Up 20% at IIM Indore Summer Placements 2017, Over 150 International Companies Recruited Students

IIM Indore successfully finished its summer placement program where more than 150 companies walked in the campus. Over 10 students got chance of pursuing internship at international locations.

The summer placement programs at Indian Institute of Management, Indore has successfully been finished for the largest IIM batch. The placement program had a total of 543 students which include 96 IPM and 447 PGP participants. The highest stipend for 8 weeks was 3 lakhs for two months whereas the average stipend crossed 20% reaching to 1.24 lakhs. IIM Indore, which is famous for running the most diverse programs among all IIMs, experienced the return of some of the top corporate organizations such as Boston Consulting Group, Aditya Birla Group, Ernst & Young, American Express, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, DE Shaw, JP Morgan, ITC, Mahindra & Mahindra etc. The list was filled with some new names including United Breweries, Macquarie Investment Bank, P&G, Nestle, Amazon, General Electric, Bank of America, Synergy Consulting, IMS Consulting Group etc.

The institute welcomed around 150 international recruiters in the summer placement program whereas 60 new organizations walked the campus for the first time. Looking at the placement statistics, sales, finance and marketing were the primary sectors where most of the candidates were hired, with a total percentage of 32 whereas 17% students gave priority to consulting sector. General management sector was opted by 10% of the students.

The management institute experienced myriad roles which were offered by top recruiters such as Bank of America, Amazon, CIMB Malaysia, DE Shaw, Edelweiss, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse, Royal Bank of Scotland, Bank of India, Nomura and Reserve Bank of India. The institute has been able to strengthen its hold in the BFSI sector. The students were offered various roles such in the areas of investment banking, wealth management, risk analytics & management, credit analysis, corporate banking, asset management, retail banking etc.

Several FMCG recruiters offered sales and marketing roles to the students. These companies were Asian Paints, ConAgra Foods, AkzoNobel, Marico, HUL, Dabur, ITC, Britannia, Asian Paints, Nestle, Pidililte, P&G, United Breweries etc. In the list of Non – FMGC recruiters, the major companies were GSK, Puma, Bajaj Auto, Google, Eli Lilly and Company, Mattel, Cipla, Bentley Motors, Airtel, United Health Group, Philips, Royal Enfield, Vodafone, Raymond, Sun Pharma etc.

There were several companies which offered coveted consulting roles, including Backspace Consulting, Cognizant Business Consulting, IMS Consulting Group, Synergy Consulting, PwC, Boston Consulting Group, Acquisory Consulting, Avalon Consulting etc.

Many companies offered leadership roles to the students. These included Reliance Industries, JSW Group, General Electric, Mahindra & Mahindra, Cipla, Airtel, Aditya Birla Group etc. Companies like Sun Pharma, L&T, ICICI Bank, Mattel, HPCL, Cummins, Amazon, Piramal Group etc. offered HR and operations roles.

Several big international brands also walked the campus and recruited students from the B – school. These included Mount Meru Group, ConAgra Foods, Bentley Motors, Macquarie Investment Bank, and CIMB Malaysia etc. Around 10 students got chances to pursue their internship at international locations.
