IIM Kashipur All Set to Conduct Common Admission Process for 9 New IIMs

IIM Kashipur will coordinate the Common Admission Process (CAP) for 9 IIMs for admission to PGP 2016-18


The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kashipur will conduct the Common Admission Process (CAP) for 9 IIMs. The new IIMs include IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Rohtak, IIM Tiruchirappalli, IIM Udaipur, IIM Bodh Gaya, IIM Sambalpur and IIM Amritsar. However the remaining 3 new IIMs namely IIM Nagpur, IIM Sirmaur and IIM Visakhapatnam wouldn’t participate in CAP 2016.

The CAP consists of common Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT).

While IIM Sirmaur will not go for any GD-PI-WAT process to prepare the final merit list for PGP 2016-18 admissions, the admission policy for IIM Nagpur and IIM Vishakhapatnam is yet to be announced.

Individual IIMs will prepare a shortlist based on their shortlisting criteria. These shortlists will be combined for further processing by the coordinating IIM, namely, IIM Kashipur. Among the 9 participating IIMs the shortlisting criteria for 8 IIMs, except IIM Rohtak are same.
