IIM Ranchi Eligibility Criteria 2017

IIM Ranchi was established in the year 2010 and is the ninth Indian Institute of Management, which is working under the guidance of Ministry of HRD, Government of India. It offers various Management, Executive and Doctoral programmes. The two management courses that the college provides are-

  1. Post Graduate Diploma in Management (General Management)
  2. Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management

IIM Ranchi- Post Graduate Diploma in Management

PGDM in General Management is IIM Ranchi’s flagship programme and the current intake in the course is 120 students. It is a two-year, full-time course aiming at creating efficient leaders and business managers. Teaching subjects on emerging markets, trends and other areas prepare students for managerial roles in the future.

IIM Ranchi – Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management

Considering the growing demand and indispensability associated with the study of human resources, IIM Ranchi offers two-year full-time PGDHRM programme. The institute has designed its curriculum carefully, which is a value-oriented approach, giving students a holistic learning environment.

IIM Ranchi Eligibility Criteria 2017

The official notification for IIM Ranchi eligibility criteria 2017 has been released, the eligibility criteria are given below-

  • Candidates should have completed graduation with at least 50 percent aggregate marks or equivalent from a recognized institute or university.
  • Final year students who are appearing for their examination or waiting for results can also apply.
  • Candidates with managerial work experience will be considered.

IIM Ranchi Selection Procedure 2017

IIM Ranchi has a two-stage process of short listing and selecting students for admission in its two management programmes. Candidates will be shortlisted for Personal Interview and Group Discussion/Writing Ability Test based on the Common Aptitude Test (CAT) scores above 90 percentile across the categories given hereunder.

Academic Profile

The evaluation of academic profile will be based on the candidate’s marks in 10th standard (SSC), 12th standard (HSC) and graduation.

Work Experience

Duration of the work experience will decide the maximum and minimum marks, followed by its calculation of weight.

Gender Diversity

Five marks will be allotted to the female candidates only.

  4. Academic Diversity (for non-engineering graduates)- 05

Academic Diversity

Academic diversity will depend on the weightage of the candidate’s marks in SSC and HSC.

Work Experience

The duration of the work experience will decide the maximum and minimum marks followed by its calculation of weight.

Gender Diversity

Three marks will be allotted for the female candidates only.

Personal Interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT)

Candidates will be shortlisted for the PI and WAT process after evaluating CAT scores. These rounds will be conducted in five cities across Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai.

Final Selection Procedure

On the basis of CAT scores, WAT-PI rounds and Profile for admission into IIM Ranchi, the final merit list will be prepared. The weights vary for both the programmes.
