IIM Sambalpur Eligibility Criteria 2017Indian Institute of Management Sambalpur is one of the latest additions to the existing IIM family. Launched in 2015 and situated in the south-eastern land of Odisha, IIM Sambalpur offers a serene environment to its students, which helps them focus on their course and curriculum. If you wish to pursue your post graduation in management away from the hustle-bustle of metros, IIM Sambalpur could be your ideal campus.

IIM Sambalpur currently only offers Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management and screens hundreds of applicants through Common Entrance Test or CAT exam. Registrations for CAT 2016 have already started from August 8, 2016 and candidates interested should apply before September 22, 2016. CAT 2016 is scheduled to be held on December 4, 2016.

However, candidates should ideally check in advance the eligibility criteria and admission process of IIM Sambalpur to stand a better chance of landing a seat in the institute.

IIM Sambalpur Eligibility Criteria 2017:

In order to qualify for admissions to PGP course in IIM Sambalpur for the 2017-19 batch, candidates should be graduate with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Candidates belonging to ST, SC or PwD category should have scored a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate. Final year graduation students can also apply for the course provisionally.

IIM Sambalpur Admission Policy 2017:

The admission process of IIM Sambhalpur considers Past Academic Performance (PAP), CAT 2016 score and work experience (WE) to evaluate applicants IIM.  Sambalpur follows two-stage selection criteria to admit students to the institute.

  1. Screening of candidates is based on the minimum percentile cut-off for CAT 2016
  2. Evaluation of candidate’s performance in Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT)

Stage I:

To take admission in PGP course in IIM Sambalpur, applicants will have to qualify the minimum percentile cut-off for CAT 2016. The sectional and overall percentile cut-offs for CAT 2016 applicants are provided below.

Stage II:

Candidates who qualify stage I will be called to appear for Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT). The merit list of candidates appearing for WAT-PI will be prepared based on the following criteria.

Candidates who clear the WAT-PI round will be offered admission to PGP course in IIM Sambalpur based on merit list prepared.
