IIT, Delhi initiates Smart Campus Programme

Under this Programme, a number of initiatives like Smart Buildings, Smart Class Rooms, Smart Lighting, Tracking System for transportation in the Campus, E-Governance will be introduced!

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT),  Delhi has initiated "Smart Campus Programme" in institute. This Programme has been conceived in line with the national priorities and making use of smart technologies in various aspects of the Campus to minimize waste of time and resources and making them more effective. 
 
Under this Programme, a number of initiatives will be taken up such as Smart Buildings, Smart Class Rooms, Smart Lighting, Tracking System for transportation in the Campus, E-Governance etc. 
 
This programme cannot succeed unless all the stake holders like Faculty, staff, students participate actively and enrich the committee with various ideas and suggestions.
 
The Institute Day Function was also held today in the Seminar Hall. Chairman of the institute, Dr. Vijay Bhatkar was bestowed the Padma Bhushan this year. He was felicitated and addressed the audience briefly. The Institute Day Lecture was presented by Dr. V.K. Saraswat, former DG, DRDO and SA to Defence Minister. Students also presented a cultural programme.
