IIT Guwahati Released GATE 2018 Exam Schedule. GATE 2018 exam for 23 papers will be held across 8 sessions in February 2018. Check out for more.

GATE 2018 Exam Schedule IIT Guwahati

IIT Guwahati has released the GATE 2018 exam schedule and it will be held in two (forenoon and afternoon) sessions each on 3,4,10 and 11 February 2018. In an average, 8 papers of GATE 2018 will be covered on 3rd and 4th of February 2018. However, this year the exam will start on 3rd February 2018 in the forenoon section with Mechanical Engineering (ME), Engineering Sciences (XE), Petroleum Engineering (PE), Ecology and Evolution (EY) and Life Sciences (XL) whereas ME GATE 2018 will be held in the afternoon session.

GATE 2018 is conducted to choose  the most suitable and qualified candidates to provide admission or financial assistance to master's programmes and direct Doctoral programmes in Engineering or Architecture or Technology and Doctoral programmes in relevant branches of science in those colleges/institutes which are supported by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and other Government agencies in India.

GATE 2018 is held consecutively by the premier educational institutes in India like IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education under Ministry of Human Resources Development.
