IIT Kanpur has released the eligibility criteria of JEE Advanced 2018. Check the complete eligibility in this article.

The exam conducting authority of JEE Advanced 2018, IIT Kanpur has released the complete eligibility criteria of the Examination. The good news is that this year, more candidates will be allowed to take the JEE Advanced 2018. Unlike to the previous year, top 2,24,000 candidates can now appear in the examination to get admission in the IITs (Indian Institute of Technology). Candidates who attain top 2,24,00 rank will be able to appear in the JEE Advanced Examination this year.  Here, we have mentioned the complete eligibility criteria of the examination.

Age Limit- Candidate’s date of birth should fall on or after 01 October 1993. Candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories can avail 05 years relaxation, i.e., the birth date of these candidates should fall on or after 01 October 1988.

Number of Attempts- Candidates can appear in the examination a maximum of 02 times in consecutive years.

Qualifying Examination & Percentage- Candidates should have qualified the Class XII (or equivalent) examination in 2017 or 2018 with at least 75% aggregate marks (65% aggregate marks for SC/ ST)

Earlier admission at IITs- Make sure, you haven’t accepted a seat in any of the IITs whether you continued in the course or not in the past. Candidates who got admission in IIT but didn’t continue the same are not eligible in any case.

There are many surprises for the IITs aspirants this year. Earlier, the institute has announced the examination date and mode of examination. JEE Advanced 2018 is scheduled to be conducted on 20 May 2018 in online mode.
