International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi, the best private B-school in India by NIRF, MHRD, conducted its 32nd Annual Convocation Ceremony on April 16, 2016 at IMI - New Delhi campus. 279 students of the premier Business School were awarded their diplomas at the ceremony which was attended by several notable guests and luminaries. The event was also graced by Shri Ashok Chawla, Chairman – TERI, who was also the chief guest of the event, along with Dr D H Pai Panandiker, President - RPG Foundation, Chairman-International Life Sciences Institute-India and Advisor - Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Talking about the ceremony, Padmashree Dr Bakul Dholakia, Director General- IMI-New Delhi, said, “It is a proud moment for the institute to see 103 young women and 176 men receiving their hard-earned diplomas. We wish them all the best and are sure that their excellence in their chosen professional paths will help us fulfill our vision of becoming the premier global management school in the near future.”
On the occasion the Guest of Honour - Mr. Ashok Chawla, Chairman, TERI and Ex- Chairman, Competition Commission of India added, “Seeing these young minds excel across different courses is indeed a rewarding experience. I wish all the students all the best in their upcoming endeavors and hope to see them doing great things during their career, as entrepreneurs or as professionals. They have received the best education and training possible at IMI and I’m sure that they will make their alma mater proud of them with time.”
While thanking Dr. Dholakia for his immense contribution to the success of IMI - New Delhi, Dr D H Pai Panandiker, President - RPG Foundation, Chairman-International Life Sciences Institute-India and Advisor - Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry said, “On this occasion, I would like to compliment the Director General Dr. Bakul Dholakia for providing outstanding leadership at IMI and working constantly to improve overall organizational performance. We are confident that, under the effective leadership of Dr. Dholakia, IMI will continue to scale greater heights and achieve new milestones during the years to come.”
Some of the noteworthy achievements of IMI New Delhi during the year were also brought to the attention of the attendees. Some of the key milestones attained by the institution include the graduation of the First Student of the IMI Fellow Programme and the First Batch of PGDM (B&FS), the commencement of new Alumni chapter meets at Dubai and Singapore and International collaborations with KEDGE Business School, France and IDRAC Business School, France. IMI was also recently ranked as the top private Business School in India by NIRF, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. This major accomplishment, too, was highlighted during the illustrious ceremony.
