GATE 2016 Hall Ticket

GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) Exam is conducted jointly by seven IITs (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee) and Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISc). It is an all India examination conducted to test the complete understanding of different undergraduate subjects in Engineering and Technology. GATE score is essential for those candidates, who aspire to pursue higher studies in the field of Engineering or Science. The marks scored by the aspirant candidates in the GATE exam reflects the comparative performance level and the score is considered during admission in different post-graduate education programs such as Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, Doctor of Philosophy in top institutes of the country. The eligible candidates are also provided financial aid by MHRD and other government agencies.

Those who want to pursue higher studies in the field of Engineering or Science must appear in the GATE exam. GATE 2016 exam will be conducted by IISc Bangalore, which is aided by seven IITs. GATE 2016 hall ticket will be available online from 17th December, 2015, which can be downloaded from GOAPS. The GATE admit card, downloaded from GOAPS should be printed in color and taken to the examination center. Along with the admit card, the candidates must as well carry a valid photo identity proof.


Necessary information regarding GATE 2016 hall ticket

  • GATE 2016 login details of GOAPS will be provided to the candidate after submitting your form
  • The candidate has to login to the GOAPS for downloading the admit card, which will be available from 17th December, 2015
  • After successful login, follow the GATE 2016 admit card download instruction
  • After completion of the download, take a print-out of the admit card, which you will have to carry to the examination hall.
