On the occasion of the 69th Independence Day of India, the Indian Army Pipe Band gave a spellbound performance in Hindu College of University of Delhi on 6th August from 9:30am to 10:30am.
The Mass Band display event started on 5th August 2015 at India Gate, after which they conducted various sessions across Delhi and National Capital Regions (NCR). These sessions included Band displays, Know Your Army Exhibitions, Inter School competitions etc.
The main aim of this idea is to promote a feeling of respect and responsibility towards the country and instill in the students a sense of national pride to enhance relations between the youth and the Armed Forces.
The students of Hindu College actively came forwards to become a part of this celebration and cheered for the Army Pipe Bands. They were able to associate themselves towards a National Cause.
Such events should be organized regularly so that a national spirit is generated among the youth of India.
