NSE starts India’s first full time Post Graduate Program in Global Financial Markets from July 27, 2015

National Stock Exchange (NSE) has launched India’s first Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Global Financial Markets (PGP-GFM). The PG Course will have International Regulatory Certification from India, USA and Singapore. PGCP-GFM is a full-time 11 month course. The classes would be held at NSE in New Delhi. The exam will be conducted online from June 23-June 27, 2015 in test centers across the country.  PGP-GFM is an autonomous certification program, neither a degree nor diploma, unrecognized by UGC and AICTE.

 

 

Date of Commencement: July 27, 2015

Last date for Application: June 22, 2015.

Cost of Program: Rs.4,50,000

 

About the Course:

NSE’s PGP-GFM is a highly specialized course training its students in financial market skills to make them employable in the international financial markets. The PG program will provide them with exposure to the practical market practices along with a theoretical education on the same.  This Post Graduate Program will involve 14 regulatory certifications in areas of equity, commodities, currency, depository, mutual fund, etc by the Indian, American and Singaporean financial markets. It is a full time course for a span of 11 months with 1020 hours of intense training. 

Eligibility:

  • Graduate degree or equivalent with at least 50% average from an Indian University or Institute recognized by Association of Indian Universities.
  • Age limit: 40 years of age.
  • Students in final year can apply for provisional admission.
  • Preference to those with experience in financial sector and professional qualifications (CA, MBA, CS, etc)

 

Registration and Application Procedure: 

Candidates having a valid CAT/GMAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT/ATMA score need to download and send the application form (click here) along with the application fee of Rs.900 to the NSE office.

  1. Academic Profile (20%)
  2. CAT score or NSE Online Test (50%)
  3. Personal Interview (30%)

 

Career Options:

NSE will be assisting with placement of its successful students in various fields. Students can be employed in Banking Firms, Management Companies, Hedge Funds, Consulting Firms, etc.  A qualified PGP-GFM graduate is likely to be offered a position of an analyst, associate, relationship manager, content developer, financial manager, etc.
