IRMA 2018

Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) has successfully conducted IRMA 2018 entrance test on February 4. The Institute conducted this IRMA Social Awareness Test (IRMASAT 2018) to shortlist candidates for admission to its post graduate diploma in rural management program (PGDRM). It is a compulsory online test held every year to assess the knowledge of candidates about issues of social concern and their ability of pursuing and handling PGDRM course. According to the exam analysis provided by experts, IRMA 2018 exam was on similar lines like that of last year. Total 40 questions were asked in the exam, which were generally based on the facts and information related to government schemes and institutions like NABARD, NDRI, IARI, ICAR, NDDB, 5-year plan, GFCF, JNNURM, NITI Aayog, Human Development Index, Unemployment levels in India, etc. The candidates were given 80 minutes to complete the IRMA 2018 admission exam.   

This year, a total of 240 seats will be filled at IRMA PGDRM program, against which Indian, Foreign and Sponsored candidates can take admission. Along with IRMASAT 2018 scores, the Institute will take into consideration the scores of CAT 2017/XAT 2018. The result of this entrance test is most likely to be announced in the form of Group Activity and Personal Interview shortlist. IRMA 2018 result is expected to be declared on February 12. IRMA 2018 Result 

IRMA will be declaring the result of IRMASAT 2018 and the PI shortlist for Indian Nationals on February 12. This list will provide the names of the candidates who would have been shortlisted to attend the Group Activity and Personal Interview. This result-cum-shortlist will be available on the official website of the Institute. A link to check to the result has been provided here on this page also. The IRMA 2018 scorecard is also likely to furnish the overall as well as sectional scores of candidates. The process of group activities and personal interviews for the shortlisted candidates is scheduled to take place from 26 February to 10 March 2018.

IRMA 2018 Cutoff 

IRMA cutoff is the minimum criteria which a candidate needs to satisfy so that s/he can get shortlisted for the next round of selection process. The institute will release IRMA cutoff 2018 marks along with the result. Last year, 80 percentile was the cutoff for CAT/XAT for General candidates. IRMA 2018 Selection Process 

According to the selection procedure of IRMA 2018, the Institute will call the shortlisted candidates for next rounds of selection process i.e. the group activities and personal interview. On 12 February 2018, the list of shortlisted candidates for Group Activity and Personal Interview will be announced. And the final merit list will release on 15 March, 2018. Candidates who are planning to take admission in Fellowship in Rural Management program, they need to clear all the rounds of admission process which include an admission test followed by personal interview and a presentation of an essay.

IRMA 2018 Eligibility Criteria 

There are two post graduate programs offered by Institute of Rural Management Anand and both these programs have different eligibility criteria. All the candidates willing to take admission to these courses must make sure that they meet these eligibility norms are met by them and they fill the application form thereafter. Eligibility criteria for PGDRM and FPRM admission and taking IRMASAT 2018 have been mentioned below.

Who can take IRMA 2018 Entrance Test?

  • Candidates having a Bachelor's degree in any disciplie along with a minimum of 15 years education.
  • They should have obtained 50 percent or above (45 percent or above for SC/ST/DAP) aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA in graduation.
  • Students in final year of their graduation can apply if they expect to complete all the admission requirements before June 03, 2018.

IRMA PGDRM Eligibility Criteria 2018

  1. For post graduate diploma in rural management, a candidate should be a graduate from a recognized college/university.
  2. The candidates are required to have scored at least 50% marks in graduation. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories can apply with 45% mark.
  3. Additionally, they must have either CAT or XAT score.

IRMA FPRM Eligibility Criteria 2018

  1. A candidate is required to have completed post graduate diploma in rural management from IRMA.
  2. The candidate must have scored at least 50% marks in post graduation.
  3. The qualifying marks for graduation are 50%.
  4. If a candidate has a professional degree of 5 years and have scored 60% marks and along with it if s/he has a work experience of 3 years, they can also apply for FPRM at IRMA.
  5. If a candidate has valid score in UGC JRF, s/he can appear in interview of FPRM directly. There’s no need to taking online test.

A candidate studying in final year of his/her graduation can also apply for IRMA 2018 but they are required to satisfy the eligibility criteria during the admission process. Foreign nationals, NRI sponsored applicants, NRIs,  Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) are required to have a valid GMAT/GRE score which is taken after January 2012, XAT 2017 or CAT 2018 for PRM batch 2018 – 20.

IRMA 2018 Application Form 

The Indian candidates who satisfy the above mentioned eligibility norms were required to apply for IRMA 2018 entrance test and admission before the last date, which was January 20, 2018 (extended). However, the foreign nationals can complete the registration till March 31, 2018. Candidates can obtain the IRMA 2018 application form in both, online and offline mode.The online application portal of IRMA 2018 became operational on October 12 and the interested applicants can visit the official website of the Institute to register for the exam.

How to apply for IRMA 2018 in Offline Mode?

IRMA application form in offline mode can be purchased from the IRMA Admission Office. Also, the candidates can request the Institute to send the hard copy of the form via post. Such applicants need to send this request application on the following address with demand draft in favour of Institute of Rural Management Anand payable at Anand.

Guidelines for Online IRMA 2018 Registration

A candidate needs to have valid email address, passport size photograph and image of their signature handy for processing the form submission. While registering for the exam, candidates need to fill all the details carefully.

  1. For online application process, candidates need to visit the official website of IRMA ( or need to click on the link given here on this page.
  2. On accessing the application form, the candidates must fill all the details in it very carefully and upload only latest colored photograph of passport size and signature. 
  3. To complete the registration, they need to pay the requisite application fee. Details of the fee and its payment modes have been detailed below.

IRMA 2018 Admit Card 

The candidates who submitted the application form successfully before the deadline were only issued the admit card. The institute released the IRMA 2018 admit card on February 1, 2018. It was made available on the official webiste of the Institute for the candidates to download. Candidates were required to download the admit card online and carry its print out to the allotted test centre for verification. IRMA admit card furnished several important information of the candidate such as personal details, exam centre, exam time etc. and a few other instructions. Without the admit card of IRMA 2018, no candidate was allowed to sit for the examination.

IRMA 2018 Exam Pattern  

As per the exam analysis, the exam takers and experts are of the view that the exam structure was similar to the one announced. IRMASAT 2018 was an 80 minutes’ duration examination, where 40 objective type questions were asked. The exam has only one section which is known as “Issues of Social Concern”. The candidates were required to select correct answer out of the five options given.
