IRMA Invites Applications for PGD in Rural Management Programme 2017

The Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) has announced admissions for the PGD in Rural Management 2017 open. Candidates will be able to fill forms online and in hard copy from October 1, 2016 onward.

The Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) has released the official notification for inviting applications for the admission to its full-time, two years Post Graduation Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM) programme for the academic session 2017-19. The interested and eligible candidates can read further to know about the course in detail.

This two-year, full-time residential programme of IRMA leading to a Post-Graduation Diploma in Rural Management has been recognised as equivalent to a master’s degree by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as well as is approved by the All India Council for the Technical Education (AICTE). The application process has begun and the last date for applying online is December 30, 2017. IRMA 2017 is slated to be conducted on February 12, 2017. 

IRMA PGDRM 2017 Eligibility Criteria

The interested candidates should be graduates in any discipline from any of the recognised institutes/universities of India with a minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of education. Candidates should have necessarily scored 50 percent (for general category) marks in the qualifying degree or candidates with an equivalent GPA from the recognised institute/university at the graduation level are also eligible to apply. As per the government norms, SC/ST/DAP candidates will get five percent relaxation in the minimum applicable pass percentage at the graduation level.

Candidates who are in the final year/semester of their bachelor’s degree programme and are expected to meet the eligibility criteria requirements by June 12, 2017 can also apply for the IRMA PGD in Rural Management programme.

IRMA PGDRM 2017: How to Apply?

  • The interested candidates can start applying for the IRMA PGD in Rural Management programme 2017. Candidates can apply using two modes of applications.
  • Candidates can apply for the PDG in Rural Management programme online by making a payment of INR 1200 for general category and INR 600 for the SC/ST/DAP candidates.
  • Candidates who want to apply in hard copy, however, need to pay little extra as the fee to obtain the application form remains INR 1275 for general category candidates and INR 675 for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/DAP categories.
  • However, the application fee will be waived off for the candidates belonging to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) families.  
  • The application forms will be available from October 1, 201 6 online and in hard copy at the Admission office of IRMA.

IRMA PGDRM 2017 Selection Process

IRMA will accept the CAT 2016 and XAT 2017 scores for shortlisting the candidates for admission to IRMA PGDRM 2017 Programme. However, all the applications aiming a seat in IRMA have to appear for the “Issue of Social Concern” test additionally, which will be held on February 12, 2017.
