ISTE Chapter at Amity University, Noida organized an Expert Talk on “Role of Technical Education in Make in India” by Prof. Pratapsinh Kakaso Desai - President, ISTE, India at Amity University Campus, Sector-125, Noida.
Deputy Dean of Engineering and Technology Department Prof. (Dr.) K M Soni welcomed the distinguished dignitaries and gave a brief overview of ISTE as a professional body. He talked about the ISTE works in India and how it operates in India to meet the global challenges in the field of Engineering. He also talked about the capabilities of Indian Engineers and how can their skills and knowledge can transform India.
Prof. Pratapsinh Kakaso Desai – President of ISTE, India delivered an inspiring talk on “Role of Technical Education in Make in India.” During his keynote address, he said that Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is the leading national, professional, non-profit Society for improving the technical education system in our country with the motto of career development of teachers and personality development of Students.
He shared that at present, ISTE has a very large and an effective membership base consisting of more than 1,02,985 Life Members, 5,54,094 Student Members, 2410 Institutional Members (including IITs, IISC.., NITs and other leading technical institutions), 1214 Faculty Chapters and 1322 Students’ Chapters and 17 Sections throughout the country.
Prof. Sachin R. Jambhale–Member National Executive council, ISTE, Dr. K. Manivannan, Vice President, ISTE & Prof. Vivek Kumar, Head of Department, MAE, ASET, and Amity University also graced the occasion. Dr. Umesh Kumar Vates, Assistant Professor-III, MAE, ASET proposed the vote of thanks.
