More than 47,000 admission-related queries resolved by Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.
Jamia Millia Islamia offered quick solutions to problems faced by applicants while filling up on-line admission forms. Several general queries have also been entertained. The helpline team was headed by Dr. Mansaf Alam from the Department of Computer Science, Jamia Millia Islamia who led a team of Jamia employees.
This academic year, Jamia Millia Islamia had introduced On-Line Application Forms for admission to all courses and received a record 1, 49,148 applications for over 6,000 seats. This is almost a 25% increase in the number of applications received last year.
The Admission Help Desk in Jamia Millia Islamia addressed over 47,000 queries pertaining to admissions 2015-16 until May 4, 2015 on various communication platforms as per details given below:
- Landline - Over 22,000 queries
- Mobile - 10,134 queries
- Took direct/manual assistance of the Help Desk - Over 7,000 queries
- E-mail - 5,281
- Whatsapp - 2,945
About Jamia Millia Islamia:
The University was established in 1920 at Aligarh in United Provinces, India. It became a central university by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1988.
