The orientation event was held recently to highlight past events and future plans.

The release of a new edition of annual magazine ‘Fiction’ was captivated in a grand manner by the Computer Society of India (CSI) Jamia Millia Islamia Students' Chapter. Since its inception, the magazine has garnered fame throughout the university and now has marked the beginning of a yet another edition with full of surprises.
The releasing ceremony was graced by Prof. Talat Ahmad, the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia. The Guest of Honor for the function was Mr. Hanif Qureshi (IPS), Commissioner of Police, Faridabad.
The keen audience included innumerable recruiters of the various companies that had come to Jamia for placements. The wider platform for the magazine release was worth appreciating and memorable. The dynamic team of Fiction headed by Shifa Shamsi (Editor-in-Chief) was applauded and hailed by the enthusiastic audience.
The magazine includes various articles written by the content writers of the Fiction team as well as those contributed by students from other colleges. The cover story of the magazine by the name ‘the Humanitarian Crisis’ was the brainchild of the writers including Sarah Ansari, Azfar Zaidi and Ayesha Huma, who elucidated the plight of the Syrian refugees and the extent to which the world is facing the humanitarian crisis.
Apart from this other multifaceted articles by Sarah Masud, Shifa Shamsi, Ayesha Aijaz, Azfar Zaidi, Sarah Ansari, Aashisha Chackraborty, Aditya Kumar, seemed to take the magazine to an another level. The sketches of Ariba and the photographs clicked by Shazia Khan has made the magazine even more appealing.
All this was not possible with the endless efforts of the designing team headed by Ameen Khan. The designing team comprised of Shadab Khan, Saba Khan, Zeya Umayya and Abhimanyu Rana, who have made the magazine striking. The efforts made by the Fiction Team was lauded by the Vice Chancellor and the Guest of Honor alike. The success of the magazine was not possible without the constant support of Dr. Tanvir Ahmad, the Branch Counsellor of CSI- JMI Students' Chapter.
