The rank list includes all the candidates who appeared in both the papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. The aggregate marks, a sum of marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, are considered to create the list.

JEE Advanced 2017 Result- Tie-Breaking Criteria

While generating ranks, there may be chances that two students get the same aggregate marks. To solve this issue, candidates having higher marks in mathematics will be ranked higher. If the issue still persists then candidates with higher marks in physics will get a higher rank and if the problem remained unsolved then both candidates will receive the same rank.

A Higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Mathematics. If this does not break the tie, the higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Physics. If there is a tie even after this, candidates will be assigned the same rank.

Minimum percentage of marks required to be attained to get listed in Rank List

Students who attained the minimum marks in all the three subjects will be listed in the rank list and declared qualified.
