The key to success in a tough engineering entrance exam like JEE cannot be limited to textbooks. One has to keep exploring ways in order to remain motivated throughout the preparation time.
For JEE Advanced 2016 topper Aman Bansal, group discussions with fellow students was one of the major factors that led to his success in the exam.
According to him, one must participate in group discussions as it clears several doubts and helps in developing a better understanding of the subjects.
Aman, whose father is an engineer and mother is a homemaker, wants to pursue Computer Science from IIT Mumbai. He says self-belief and studying regularly for 5-6 hours helped him score 320 marks and clinch the top slot in JEE Advanced in the country.
He also suggested that it is imperative for JEE aspirants to focus on every topic to clear the exam.
About 2,00,000 cleared JEE Main 2016 (the first phase of the two-phase IIT-Joint Entrance Examinations) and qualified for JEE (Advanced) 2016. Students who cleared JEE Main were eligible to appear for JEE Advanced, which was conducted by IIT Guwahati on May 22, 2016.
A candidate’s performance in JEE (Advanced) forms the basis for admission in engineering courses offered at all the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs).
