JEE Main 2018 application form announcement will be made by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) most probably in the first week of December 2017. With the announcement of the application form, registration process for JEE Main 2018 will also start. Candidates who want to apply for JEE Main 2018 need to complete their online registration by paying JEE Main 2018 application fee. Submission of the Aadhaar card number has also been made mandatory for all the candidates applying for JEE Main 2018 exam. So they need to provide their Aadhaar card details when filling the online application form. Candidates will be allowed to pay application fee both in online as well as offline modes.

How to calculate JEE Main Application Fee 2018?

CBSE will make the calculation of JEE Main fee 2018 easier for the candidates by providing an online examination fee calculator. Candidates just need to fill the below-given details and they will get JEE Main application fee 2018 they need to pay to complete their registration process.

  • The exam they are applying for (JEE Main Paper I/JEE Main Paper II/JEE Main Paper I or II both)
  • Mode of examination
  • Location of the exam
  • Category (SC/ ST/ PwD or OBC)

According to the official website of JEE Main 2018, aspirants planning to take the exam should hold an Aadhaar Card issued by UIDAI. So JEE Main 2018 aspirants should ensure they have an Aadhaar Card before JEE Main 2018 application forms.

Procedure to pay JEE Main 2018 Application Fee:

Through Credit Card:

The candidate will have to pay additional charges of 1.20% of the examination fee and service tax as applicable while making payment of the application fee through credit card.

Through Debit Card:

The candidate will have to pay additional charges of 0.75% of the examination fee and taxes for examination fee up to Rs. 2000 and 1% taxes for examination fee more than Rs. 2000 while making payment of the application fee through the debit card.

Through e-Challan:

The candidate can make payment of the application fee through e-Challan after successful submission of the online application form.

Candidates can deposit the requisite amount at any branch of Syndicate Bank, Canara Bank, HDFC and ICICI Bank.

The candidates must not forget to download the receipt once the application form is submitted successfully. In case the candidate has paid the fee online, then he must keep a copy of DD or transaction details. 

JEE Main 2018 Application Process

To apply for JEE Main 2018, candidates need to visit the official website of JEE which is www.jeemain.nic.in. JEE Main application form 2018 will be available only on the website and candidates need to fill and submit their forms in the online mode. Candidates born on or after October 1, 1993, are only eligible to apply for the exam. Applicants from reserved categories will get an upper age limit of 5 years. Apart from this, there are a few more conditions candidates need to meet to be eligible for JEE Main 2018. So it is better, you first read JEE Main eligibility criteria 2018 and apply for the exam only when you meet all the requirements.

Documents required for filling JEE Main Application Form 2018

To complete the online application process, candidates also need to submit the documents given in the information brochure. Given below is the list of documents, candidates need to keep ready with them before filling JEE Main application form 2018.

  • Recent passport size photograph
  • Scan copy of signature (should be done with black ballpoint pen)
  • Scan copy of thumb impression

  • Log in to the official JEE Main website
  • Click on JEE Main 2018 link to go on to the application page
  • Read the given instructions carefully before starting to fill the application form
  • Once you have gone through the guidelines, click on the checkbox and proceed to fill your application form
  • Now fill all the required details in the JEE Main application form 2018
  • After personal details, you need to fill JEE Main application details like the exam applying for, exam centres, exam medium etc.
  • Now review the details you have filled and proceed to the submit button only when you are sure that every detail is correct
  • Next step is to upload the documents
  • After uploading documents, you need to pay JEE Main Application fee 2018 by clicking on the "Pay Exam Fee" link
  • On successful payment of application fee, you will receive an acknowledgment page
  • Take printout of the acknowledgment page for future communications
