In these last nervy days, students go through a lot of mental pressure. Here we have some of the last minute preparation tips that students can follow before the exam to have a peaceful and a relaxed mind.

Last Minute Preparation Tips for JEE Main 2018-

Don’t start a new topic:

Most of you by now must have covered the entire JEE Main Syllabus, have solved full-length practice papers, mock tests and must have solved previous year JEE Main question papers. The hard work of studying day and night for the last three months and over the last two years is now done. The best thing to do right now is to relax.

If you have left some topics, it is best suggested that you don't start them now. Starting a fresh topic in the last few days will only confuse you further, leading to a panic situation. It is better to be completely confident about the things you know than to walk into the examination hall with incomplete information about a new topic. Learning anything new now is a big NO.

Revise the Important Topics:

You should make sure that you revise certain important topics and refresh your memory. If you have maintained some flash cards or keynotes, go through them once to refresh whatever you have prepared. Make sure that your basic fundamentals are right. Make sure you are confident in your areas of strength.

Fine tune your body clock:

In the last few days of the examination, make sure your body clock is set in such a way that you feel fresh on the day of the examination. If you’re used to studying in the wee hours of the night and sleeping throughout the day, it’s time to reverse your body clock! It is advised that you sleep at least 8 hours a day in the last few days of JEE Main 2017 and not study late in the night.

Take Regular Breaks:

Taking a small break of 5-10 minutes after an hour of revision is very important in order to relax your mind. It reduces fatigue, which helps in improving the concentration. Also, taking brief intervals breaks the monotony and refreshes you enough to start revising again with increased energy level.

Don’t be overconfident:

There are times when a student feels that the topic/subject area is easy and he/she can tackle it easily. This is where most students make silly mistakes. You may know the answer to the question but you can make calculation mistakes, error in judgement etc. Therefore, it is advisable to keep a calm head and not be overconfident.

Increase concentration level:

Another essential thing to keep in mind is concentration. Boosting your concentration level will aid you in focusing during your study hours. Meditation and Yoga, among many other activities, is suggested by experts to be really helpful in rejuvenating your mind and keeping your body fit. Apart from these, you can keep a relaxed mind by watching movies, going for a jog, playing a sport you like, listening to some soothing music etc.

Things to carry on the exam day:

The most important document to be carried on the exam day is the JEE Main 2018 Admit Card. You must make sure that you have a printed copy of the admit card one day before the exam. It is advised that you take multiple printouts of the admit card just in case something goes wrong. Go through the admit card at least twice to make sure all the details are clearly mentioned and the printout is clear.

Apart from JEE Main admit card, you must carry a blue/black ball point pen. Make sure you carry two to three pens of the same colour. Architecture students are advised to keep geometrical instruments ready in advance since no one will be allowed to borrow instruments inside the exam hall.

No electronic devices are allowed inside the hall. Hence, make sure you don’t carry any calculators or mobile phones.

You can carry a water bottle to keep you refreshed and hydrated during the exam.
