JEE Main 2018 result will be declared in the last week of April. The admission process in IITs and top-notch engineering colleges across the country also starts immediately after announcement of the result.

JEE Main Result 2018 will be declared in the last week of April by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on their official website along with the JEE Main Score Card 2018 and the All India Rank. The news about the JEE Main Result 2018 starts rolling over the internet for a considerable time with many news sources reporting the result date of JEE Main. However, the result for JEE Main 2018 is declared in the last week of April after the exam is successfully conducted in both online and offline modes.

The candidates will be able to access the JEE Main Result 2018 only in online mode. The JEE Main result will consist of the secured scores in the examination by the applicant. The candidates will be able to obtain their JEE Main Result 2018 after the submission of their roll number and date of birth. The scores secured in the JEE Main 2018 by the candidate will comprise of the actual marks obtained in the Paper-I along with the status of those applicants who have qualified for the JEE Advanced 2018. No scorecard will be sent individually to the applicants. So candidates who clear JEE Main 2018 will have to download their JEE Main scorecards 2018 from the website by logging into their account.

Earlier, the JEE Main All India Rank used to be determined based on the score of the applicant in the JEE Main examination and the normalised scores secured in 12th standard in the ratio of 60:40. However, the Board decided to scrap this formula from the session 2017-18 and adopted a new methodology.

The JEE Main 2018 answer key is declared after the exam, which candidates can check on the official website. Candidates can also provide their feedback and changes in the answer key.

How to Check JEE Main Result 2018:

JEE Main Paper-I result will be declared on its official website. The candidates will be required to submit the necessary credentials in order to access the result in online mode. The admission committee also releases a separate rank list based on the scores obtained by the applicants in the JEE Main 2018 result.

Aspirants who appeared for JEE Main this year can follow the simplest steps mentioned here to check their result on the official website:

  • Visit the official website of JEE Main 2018 and click on the link to access the result
  • Enter the JEE Main 2018 roll number and Date of Birth
  • Click on the ‘Login’ Button after filling in the required credentials
  • In case any incorrect information has been written, click on the Reset button and submit the credentials again
  • The result will reflect on the screen once you have logged in successfully
  • Download the scorecard, save it for future reference and take the sufficient number of printouts for further admission process

What JEE Main 2018 Result Card Includes:

JEE Main 2018 result card will be an important document and it will contain important information related to the candidate concerned. It will include:

  • The registration number/user id of the candidate
  • Name of the candidate
  • Candidate’s DOB with Gender
  • Category of the candidate
  • Date and time of the JEE Main exam
  • Email ID and the contact details of the candidate
  • All India Rank of the candidate
  • State Rank of the applicant
  • Category Rank of the candidate

Last Two Years JEE Main Exam Result Trends:

As illustrated by the JEE Main 2017 exam, a total of 12 Lac candidates appeared in the test.

As per the trends, JEE Main cut-off in the last 3 years has been lowering. JEE Main cut-off for general category was 115 in 2014, whereas in 2015 it had plunged to 105 and in 2016, JEE Main cut-off for general category dropped to 100.

JEE Main 2018 Result and Scoring Process:

JEE Main 2018 will be a total of 360 marks and each subject (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) carries 120 marks. The question paper will comprise of 90 questions divided equally in each subject. Each question will contain four marks and one mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer. For not responding or opting for any option in any question, no marks or zero marks will be deducted.

  • JEE Main 2018 result of paper-I and paper-II will be announced in April 2018, and May 2018, respectively.
  • A new method will be adopted by CBSE to round off the rankings as the normalisation procedure of 12th standard marks has been removed.
