JEE Main 2017 Results

JEE Main 2017 Results will be declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education on their official website along with the JEE Main Score Card 2017 on April 27, 2017. The news about the JEE Main Result 2017 was rolling over the internet for a considerable time with many news sources reporting the result date of JEE Main. However, the result for JEE Main 2017 will be declared on April 27, 2017 on the official website of JEE Main 2017.

The candidates will be able to access the JEE Main Result 2017 only in online mode. The JEE Main result will consist of the secured scores in the examination by the applicant. However, the admission committee will release the ranks later in the month of June. The candidates will be able to obtain their JEE Main Result 2017 after the submission of their roll number and date of birth. The scores secured in the JEE Main 2017 by the candidate will comprise of the actual marks obtained in the Paper-I along with the status of those applicants who have qualified for the JEE Advanced 2017. No scorecard will be sent individually to the applicants.

Earlier, the JEE Main All India Rank was determined based on the score of the applicant in the JEE Main examination and the normalised scores secured in 12th standard in the ratio of 60:40. However, the Board decided to scrap this formula for the session 2017-18 and adopt a new methodology.

The candidates should also know that as soon as the JEE Main 2017 result is announced, the admission committee will release an online window for checking the result. The login facility will be made live on April 27, 2017. The JEE Main 2017 answer key will be declared right after the results of JEE Main 2017.

How to Check JEE Main Result 2017:

JEE Main Paper-I result will be released on April 27, 2017. The candidates will be required to submit the required credentials in order to access the result in online mode. The admission committee will prepare a separate rank list based on the scores obtained by the applicants in the JEE Main 2017 result. This list is likely to be declared in the last week of June 2017.

Aspirants who will appear for JEE Main this year can follow the simplest steps mentioned here to check their result on the official website:

  • Visit the official website of JEE Main 2017 and click on the link to access the result.
  • Enter the JEE Main 2017 roll number and Date of Birth
  • Click on the ‘Login’ Button after filling in the required credentials
  • In case any incorrect information has been written, click on the Reset button and submit the credentials again.
  • The result will reflect on the screen once you have logged in successfully
  • Download the scorecard, save it for future reference and take the sufficient number of printouts for further admission process.

JEE Main 2017 result card will be an important document and it will contain important information related to the candidate concerned. It will include:

  • The registration number/user id of the candidate
  • Name of the candidate
  • Candidate’s DOB with Gender

  • Date and time of the JEE Main exam

Last Two Years JEE Main Exam Result Trends:

As illustrated by the JEE Main 2016 exam, a total number of 12 lakh candidates appeared in the test. The result will be declared on April 27, 2016.

As per the trends, JEE Main cut-off in the last 3 years has been lowering. JEE Main cut-off for general category was 115 in 2014, whereas in 2015 it had plunged to 105 and in 2016, JEE Main cut-off for general category dropped to 100.

JEE Main 2017 Result and Scoring Process:

JEE Main 2017 will be a total of 360 marks and each subject (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) carries 120 marks. The question paper will comprise of 90 questions divided equally in each subject. Each question will contain four marks and one mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer. For not responding or opting for any option in any question, no marks or zero marks will be deducted.
