JIM Indore Hosts Entrepreneurship Educator Program

A three-day intensive Faculty Development Program was hosted by Jaipuria Indore. Read on!

Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore in association with Wadhwani Foundation organized 3-day Faculty Development Program from December 21-23, 2016.
The event was organised under the able guidance of Dr. Harsh Halve, who has a deep passion for entrepreneurship and is evident in his wholehearted support for issues related to Entrepreneurship. The faculty coordinators for the event were Dr. Charu Dubey and Dr. Priti Bakhshi. 
Dr. Priti Bakhshi– Associate Professor at Jaipuria Institute of Management Indore was also one of the resource person of the 3-day FDP. She took 7 sessions during the workshop. Other resource person for the FDP was Dr. Rakhi Sharma – HOD Jai Hind College Mumbai. 
The first day started with the welcome address by Director, Dr. Harsh Halve. Dr Halve emphasized the importance of Entrepreneurship and extended his support to the cause at the Institutional level. His enthusiasm towards the cause was evident when sir mentioned that the government is promoting Entrepreneurship under ‘Start up India’ and ‘Stand up India’ and shared that Jaipuria Institute of Management Indore is committed to promote Entrepreneurship and has a full-fledged incubation centre and a well-functioning E-Cell at the Institute. He also informed the participants about the campus companies at Jaipuria Indore. This was followed by an introduction of the program by Ms. Marlina Ramchandra – Senior Manager – NEN. 
The Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Charu Dubey where she reinforced the key learnings and thanked everyone from office boys to the leadership for their support in the smooth conduction of the 3 days FDP.
The objective of the FDP was to:
  • Develop a deep understanding of concepts of Entrepreneurship such as Idea Generation, Opportunity Evaluation, Customer Discovery, Value Proposition Design and Prototyping.
  • Understand how to help students to develop an entrepreneurial outlook based on scientific approaches to venture creation.
  • Understand how to guide students on discover their strengths and weaknesses in terms of qualities and traits required to be a successful entrepreneur
  • Gain hands on experience to use the templates and tools essential for teaching entrepreneurship concepts such as the Decision Matrix, Paired Comparison, Consumption Map, Blue Ocean Strategy, Value Proposition canvas and many more.
33 Faculty Members registered for this FDP from different Institutes of MP, CG and Gujarat. The Institutes from across states included Altius Institute of Universal Studies, Pioneer Institute of Professional Studies, Parul University, Prestige Institute of Management, Chameli Devi Group of Institutions, Malwa Institue of Science and Technology, Indore Institute of Science and Technology, Mahakal Institute of Technology,  Acropolis North Campus, Acropolis South Campus,  Prestige Institute of Engineering, Management & Research, SDPS Women's College, Sushila Devi Bansal College of Engineering, Jaipuria Institute of Management, TIT Group of Institutions and few more. The overall feedback of the FDP was excellent.
