Karnataka Examination Authority Released KCET 2018

Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has released the exam schedule of Karnataka CET 2018 which is expected to be held in April 2018.  KCET 2018 will be conducted to offer admission to the first year or first semester Engineering, Technology, Farm Science courses i.e., Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (13.V.Sc. & A.H.), B.Sc. (Agriculture), B.Tech (Food Technology), B.Tech (Agri.Engg), B.Tech (Dairy Tech), B,F.Sc (Fisheries), B.Tech (Food Science &Tech)., B.Sc. (Sericulture), B.Sc. (Horticulture), B.Sc. (lrorestry), B.Sc. Agri Bio Tech, B.H.Sc.(Home Science), B.Sc. (Agri. Marketing & Co-Op), B.Pharm, Pharm-D and AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani and Homoeopathy) courses for the year 2018-19.

The admissions to Medical and Dental courses will be provided considering the scores of the candidate in NEET 2018 exam conducted by CBSE whereas to Architecture courses,  candidates have to either appear for JEE Paper -2 or NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture.

Candidates should apply for KCET 2018 online as there is no offline form available. The entrance exam for the same will be held in 54 test centres across the state of Karnataka. Only Indian citizens who have passed qualifying exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology /Biology / Electronics / Computer Science as optional subjects with English as one of the 9 languages of study and obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% marks or appearing for 2nd PUC/12th standard this year will be able to apply for the test.

The application for KCET 2018 is likely to be made available from the third week of January 2018 and must be filled before third March 2018. Filling up the application form for KCET 2018 involves 5 steps such as registration, log in & filling the application, uploading photograph & signature, application fee payment and submission of the form. The qualified candidates will be called for admission procedures after the commencement of results. The KCET 2018 will be held in both online and offline mode.
