Kerala University Launches New Platform to Offer Online Courses

Kerala University has launched a Massive Online Open Courses (MOOC) platform to provide short online courses.

Kerala University will soon be offering short online courses through its newly-launched platform called the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC).
The first course that KU will offer through MOOC will be on the subject of ‘making powerful multimedia presentations’.

The professor for these short courses will be Prof. Achuthsankar S Nair, Department of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics.

The first, six week course will help students in their PowerPoint Presentation skills. Students who already have a fair knowledge of Microsoft office will be eligible to sign up for the course, free of cost.

The course will comprise of six lectures with MCQs to be answered at the end of each lecture. Students will also be assessed on their given PPT and the 3 slide PPT on a topic of their choice.

Students can seek help from the online present course facilitator and course instructor.
More courses will be introduced soon and the registrations for the MOOC are currently taking place, with 30 students already registered within the first hour of the opening of registrations on 18th January, 2017.
