MAH CET 2018 Exam Pattern  – The candidates preparing for MAH MBA/MMS CET this year must ensure that they have complete knowledge of its test pattern and should prepare for it accordingly. DTE has announced the MAH CET exam pattern 2018 along with the notification. All the details and salient features of MAH CET MBA test pattern have been provided here on this page. Before commencing with the preparations, the candidates must go through the test pattern as it will give them an idea about the mode of the exam, sections from which the questions will be asked, no. of sections, no. of questions and much more. Having an idea about these details will help them prepare strategically for the exam without wasting their precious time. MAH CET 2018 is scheduled to be held by DTE for MBA on March 10 and for MMS on March 11, 2018. It is state level management entrance held at designated centres in the state of Maharashtra and other states for admission to various post graduate management courses offered by Colleges/Universities of the state. MAH CET 2018 Exam Pattern

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH CET) basically aims to judge the potential of the candidates that they have the skills to pursue management courses and be a competent manager. It basically assess the aptitude of the aspirants and their problem solving skills. Last year, few changes were made to the test pattern after which the logical reasoning section ended up having the maximum weightage. However, this year, no change have been made to the MAH CET 2018 exam pattern by DTE.

Some of the specifications of MAH CET MBA 2018 Exam Pattern are as follow –

  • Language of the exam – It will be conducted only in English.
  • Mode of the exam –  Online (Computer-based test)
  • Duration of the exam –  150 minutes (2 hours 30 minutes). 20 minutes extra will be given to candidates using Scribe or for candidates with locomotors disability and cerebral palsy.
  • No. of Questions –  There will be total 200 questions in the paper
  • No. of Sections - 5
  • Questions will all be multiple choice. Each question will have 5 options.
  • The candidates can switch between the sections while attempting the exam.

MAH CET 2018 Exam Pattern – Marking Scheme

Having an idea about the marking scheme is eqaully important as knowing the exam pattern. No change has been made to it compared to last year. Following is the marking scheme of MAH CET 2018

1.  No negative marking is applicable.
2.  1 mark each will be awarded for marking a correct answer.
3.  No mark will be deducted for leaving a question blank.
4.  Marking two options for a question will be treated as incorrect answer.

MAH CET Exam Pattern 2018 – Details of the Sections

As told above, the questions in the exam will be asked from 4 sections, which have been detailed here below.

  • Section 1 & 2 (Logical and Abstract Reasoning) – Here the questions will be asked which will judge how quickly and accurately you can think and act. The questions can be based on figures, diagrams and verbal reasoning.
  • Section 3 (Quantitative Aptitude) – The aim of this section is to check how quick and accurate you are with numbers and doing numerical calculations. Questions will be asked on arithmetic problems involving ratio and proportion, percentage, etc.
  • Section 4 (Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension) – The candidates will be required to answer comprehension in this passage. English Language ability would be tested in this section by asking questions on grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, comprehension of passages etc.

The candidates must go through the test pattern and MAH CET 2018 syllabus simultaneously while preparing for the exam as it will help them do the effective preparation.
