MAT 2017

MAT 2017 – MAT December 2017 will be conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA). Entrance Exam will be conducted in both offline and online mode on December 3 and 9 respectively. MAT exam is conducted for the admission to various institutes offering management programmes. The application process for MAT December attempt is expected to begin either from the last week of September or first week of October. The registration process will likely end on November 23 and 26 for offline and online mode respectively. MAT Admit card 2017 will be released by AIMA on after the completion of the application procedure.  Candidates who will successfully apply for the exam will be able to download the admit card. It is mandatory to carry the admit card to the examination centre otherwise candidates will not be allowed to sit for the exam. MAT exam will contain 200 questions to be answered in 2 hours and 30 minutes. The question paper will be divided into 5 sections (40 questions in each section). It will include Language comprehension, Data analysis and sufficiency, Indian & global environment, Mathematical Skills, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning. The result of MAT will be declared in January, 2018. The result will be declared in online mode and in the form of the score card. MAT score card will contain the sectional score, composite score and percentile of the candidate. After the announcement of MAT 2017 result, all the MAT participating colleges will publish their individual cutoff. Candidates who clear the minimum cutoff will be called for the further MAT selection procedure. It will include Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test. After the completion of entire admission procedure, Final merit list will be released which will contain the names of selected candidates.

Around 15000 candidates register for this management entrance test. Approved by HRD Ministry, MAT is a national level MBA entrance exam conducted 4 times in a year i.e. February, May, September and December, for the admission to various management courses. Over 600 renowned B-Schools across India will accept MAT score 2017. Candidates interested in pursuing post-graduate management courses and having a Bachelor’s degree passed with minimum 50% marks can apply for Management Aptitude Test (MAT). MAT Eligibility Criteria 2017

According to AIMA norms, MAT eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • Candidate must have done Graduation in any disciple
  • Final year students of graduate courses can also apply but they have to submit their documents within the specified time
  • There is no age limit
  • Work experience is not obligatory

MAT Application Form 2017

The registration process for MAT December 2017 is expected to start either from last week of September or first week of October, 2017. MAT application form will be available in both online and offline mode. Candidates can register as per their convenience. Applicants who want to apply offline can obtain application form of MAT 2017 from designated study centres or head office of AIMA. To register online, the candidates will have to fill their personal, education, work experience and other details in the MAT application form. The registration process will likely end on November 23 and 26 for offline and online MAT 2017 exam respectively.

MAT Exam Centres 2017

AIMA will publish the list of MAT test centres for December 2017 exam along with the MAT application form. While registering for MAT exam, the candidates will have to fill the MAT exam centre 2017 of their choice from the list provided in the drop-down menu. MAT test venues for the offline and online mode of the exam will be different. Candidates are suggested to choose the MAT test centres carefully, depending on the convenience and mode of examination. Once the choices for exam centres of MAT are filled, candidates will not be allowed to change it.

MAT Admit Card 2017

Admit card is the crucial document required on the day of examination. Without MAT Admit Card, the candidate will not be permitted to sit for the exam. Hall ticket for MAT 2017 exam will be released after the conclusion of MAT application process. Admit card for MAT 2017 is expected to be released on or after November 26, 2017. Candidate will have to download the copy of admit card online as it will not be sent via post.

  • Candidate can access the admit card with the help of MAT registration number.
  • Admit card will have details of examinees, date & time the o the exam, MAT exam roll number, address of MAT test centre etc.
  • Affix two photographs on the printout of MAT 2017 admit card.

MAT Exam Pattern 2017

Management aptitude test is an objective type exam, designed to recognise the potential and aptitude of the candidate. MAT has five sections and 40 questions are asked from each section. Duration of MAT 2017 exam is two hours and thirty minutes( 2:30 hrs).

MAT Syllabus 2017

The syllabus for MAT 2017 for Language Comprehension section is Grammar, Unseen Passage, Vocabulary and Spotting Errors, etc. Questions testing Mathematical skills may include Profit/ Loss, Percentage, Number System, Height & Distance, etc. There will also be questions testing the Intelligence & Critical Reasoning of the candidate including Sitting Arrangements, Verbal & Non-Verbal Reasoning, etc.Questions testing Data Analysis & Sufficiency can include Puzzles, Series, Line charts, Pie Charts, etc. MAT exam question paper will also include India & Global Environment questions that will test the candidate’s General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Recent Events, etc.

MAT Preparation Tips 2017

MAT 2017 candidates need to follow few simple tips and tricks to clear MAT exam with ease. Fundamental basics of different subjects should be cleared for which school textbooks should be preferred. Practice solving sample question papers every day to get familiar with questions. Candidates should focus on improving their grammar and vocabulary skills by reading books and should also try to increase their reading speed. They should also stay updated with current affairs and brush up their general knowledge. Mapping time while solving the sample MAT test papers will help increase their overall speed.

MAT Result 2017

AIMA will announce the result of MAT 2017 December in January. MAT 2017 result will be available on the official website of AIMA. Candidates will have to login to their student account for checking their result. AIMA will publish the results in the form of MAT score card. Marking for all the sections of MAT Exam 2017 will be given on that score card separately.

MAT 2017 Cutoff

Cut-offs are the minimum qualifying marks required for getting admission into MBA colleges accepting the MAT score. After the announcement of the result of MAT 2017, participating colleges will determine and announce the MAT 2017 cutoff. It will vary from college to college and also for categories of students. Candidates will be shortlisted for GD/PI rounds on the basis of their score obtained in this entrance test and clearing the MAT cutoff.

MAT Participating Institutes 2017

MAT participating colleges include the name of the institutes/colleges which accept the MAT score. This list will be released along with the MAT application form. While filling the MAT 2017 application form, the candidates can select five institutes where they would like to apply for admission based on their score. Four digit codes will be given for all the institutes.

  • Candidates are advised to check the authorization or recognition status of the participatory institutes. AIMA has come across several cases in which the score card of MAT is not accepted by some of the participatory institutes despite giving the confirmation to AIMA.
