MHT CET

MHT CET 2018- Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra has released the application forms of MHT CET 2018 on 18 January for Admissions to B.E/B.TECH, B.PHARM./PHARM.D. and B.SC.(Honours)/ B.TECH courses in Agriculture for the academic year 2018-19. MHT CET Examination 2018 is scheduled to be held on 10 May 2018 (Thursday). The exam will be conducted in offline mode (pen and paper mode). Eligible candidates can apply for the test till 25 March 2018, however, candidates can submit the forms till 31 March 2018 with the late fee. MHT CET 2018 or Maharashtra Health and Technical Education Common Entrance Test is an annual Online Entrance Test conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra for admission to full-time degree courses in Health Sciences and Technical Education. The cell conducting the test comes under the Directorate of Technical Education.

MHT CET 2018 Application Form

  • To take the examination, one must submit their completely filled application form on the official website, https://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/mhtcet2018 and click “Apply Online”. Candidates now need to fill Personal Details, Contact details, Educational Details, Bank Account details and other necessary information.
  • After successful registration, candidates should pay the mentioned application fee only by Internet Payment, Internet Banking, IMPS, Credit Card/ Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Cash Cards, etc.

MHT CET Application Fee

  • For Candidates belonging to General Category from Maharashtra, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant- Rs. 800/-
  • For Candidates belonging to SC, ST, VJ/DTNT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC Categories and Persons with Disability (belonging to Maharashtra only)- Rs. 600/-

Documents to be Uploaded

  • The file size of the Photograph should be between 15 KB to 50 KB and Signature should be between 5KB to 20 KB per file.

MHT CET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

MHT CET 2018 Eligibility For Health Science Courses-

  • Candidates should be a citizen of India
  • Should have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 50% (40% for reserved category candidates) in Chemistry, Physics, English and Biology as subjects
  • Candidates should be medically fit and they will have to submit a certificate of their fitness afterwards

MHT CET 2018 Eligibility for Technical Education Courses-

  • Candidates should be a citizen of India
  • Should have passed 10+2 or any equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 50% in English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (minimum 45% marks, for reserved categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only)
  • Engineering Diploma Holders & B.Sc. Degree holders having minimum 50 % aggregate marks (at least 45 % marks, for reserved categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) are also eligible

  • There will be no choices among question, all questions are compulsory and need to be answered
  • The difficulty level of examination will be similar to the JEE Main 2018.
  • The medium for examination shall be English or Marathi or Urdu for Physics, Chemistry and Biology
  • Health Science aspirants will have to appear Paper I and Paper II, whereas Technical Education aspirants will appear for Paper I and Paper III.
  • Answers once marked will be final, changes in answers will not be entertained
  • There will be no negative marking

MHT CET 2018 Syllabus

Around 20% weightage will be given to Std. XI syllabus and 80% weightage will be given to Std. XII syllabus while setting the question paper.

MHT CET 2018 Admit Card

The admit card for MHT CET will be released on 24 April 2018 on the official website of DTE Maharashtra. Candidates can download their admit card from the official website once they are available. For downloading their admit card, candidates need to enter the application number and password. No hard copy of the admit card will be sent through post to the candidates.  It is also suggested to check the printed information. In case of any printing mistake in personal details, candidates should immediately contact to the official. Candidates should bring the admit card at the time of examination as they won’t be allowed to enter the examination hall without the same.

MHT CET 2018 Result

The result for MHT CET 2018 will be released in online mode on or before 03 June 2018. Candidates have to login to their account by entering application number and password to check the result. Candidates should download the scorecard for future use. The scorecard will contain marks obtained by the candidates and the relevant rank secured. Candidates will be called for the counselling process on the basis of the rank and marks obtained.

MHT CET 2018 Counselling

After the declaration of result, the exam conducting authority will release the merit list to commence the counselling process which will commence tentatively in the month of June 2018. There will be three rounds. Counselling will be a Centralized Counselling Process (CAP). The admission committee will allot seat in the colleges on the basis of rank secured by the candidates and their preferences filled in the counselling form. Below are the steps to take part in counselling process- 

  • Step 1- Online Form filling to participate in Centralised Admission Process
  • Step 2- Visit the Facilitation Centre (FC) for Document Verification Round
  • Step 3- Release of provisional merit list
  • Step 4- Reporting at allotted college to authorize allotted seat.
