MICAT Cutoff 2018 – Candidates who will be appearing for MICAT 2018 can check the MICAT 2018 cutoff for PGDM –C course here on this page after it’s declaration. Candidates qualifying the MICAT 2018 entrance test as per the cutoff of MICAT 2018 will be called for further admission procedure. Cutoff will be determined after the declaration of MICAT result 2018. Cutoff will be the minimum score which candidates must obtain to get shortlisted for further admission rounds i.e. Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI). However, there is no such official announcement is done for the cutoff by MICA, it is the minimum scaled score based on which the candidates will be shortlisted for GE-PI rounds. Firstly, candidates will be assessed for the psychometric and descriptive test. Lastly, candidates obtaining the minimum MICAT cutoff scores will be considered for GE and PI rounds.

MICAT notification for the application is expected to be declared in the last week of September,, 2017 and it will end in November. The entrance exam is likely to be conducted in December and the result of the exam will be declared in the first week of January.

MICAT Cutoff 2018

MICAT is a national level management based entrance exam conducted for the admission to PGDM-C programme offered by Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad. Candidates who will be getting the minimum MICAT cutoff marks will be shortlisted for further selection procedure. MICA does not follow the conventional method of the cutoff scores to select the candidates. Selection of candidates will be based on the performance of the candidates in MICAT 2018 and the profile of the candidate.

MICAT Result 2018

The result of MICAT 1 is expected to be declared in the first week of January, 2018 and the result of MICAT 2 is expected to be declared in the second week of February, 2018 in the form of scorecards. On the basis of the result, MICA will begin the further selection procedure.

MICAT Selection Procedure 2018

There are no particular cutoff marks for MICAT 2018 admission announced by the Institute. The candidates who have appeared in CAT, XAT, GMAT exam will have to take the MICAT 2018 exam. This exam is conducted twice a year. Candidates can appear either in one or both the exams.

MICAT 2018 will be comprised of 6 sections which are as follows:

  • Psychometric
  • Verbal ability
  • Quantitative ability
  • General awareness
  • Divergent-Convergent Reasoning
  • Descriptive Test

Candidates who will qualify the psychometric test will be accessed for other remaining sections of MICAT exam. Candidates who will obtain the required score in all the six sections will be selected for the Group Exercise and Personal Interview.

Weightage Given per section

  • MICAT 2017 – 50%
  • GE – 20%
  • PI – 30%

Candidates who will meet the following criteria will be given admission:

3 member panel of PI will take the decision regarding candidate’s admission.

Out of 5 points in the GE, the score must be 4 or more.

Candidates must score at least 4 marks out of 5.

The candidate is among the top 10 percent of MICAT Score (excluding psychometric) out of the other candidates.

The final merit list of MICAT 2018 will be prepared on the basis of following scores:

The composite score obtained after the MICAT selection process.

Scores obtained in CAT/XAT/GMAT exam.
