MICAT 2018 Cutoff

MICAT Cutoff 2018 – Candidates who appeared for MICAT exam can check the MICAT 2018 cutoff for PGDM –C course here on this page after it’s declaration. MICA has conducted the MICAT II exam on February 17 and its result has been announced on February 28, 2018. A link to check the result has been provided here below. The candidates qualifying this entrance test as per the cutoff of MICAT 2018 will only be called for further admission procedure. Cutoff will be determined after the declaration of MICAT result II 2018. Cutoff is the minimum score which candidates must obtain to get shortlisted for further admission rounds i.e. Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI). The Institute will be holding the GE-PI process from March 8 to 18 at various cities and the final result will be announced on March 31, 2018. However, there is no such official announcement is done for the cutoff by MICA, it is the minimum scaled score based on which the candidates will be shortlisted for GE-PI rounds. Firstly, candidates will be assessed for the psychometric and descriptive test. Lastly, candidates obtaining the minimum MICAT cutoff scores will be considered for GE and PI rounds.

As thousands of candidates apply for MICA Admission but the seats being very limited, the Institute determines the cutoff and applies it to retrench the number of deserving candidates. The candidates preparing for MICAT II 2018 must go through this cutoff to have an understanding of the score they need to get in the exam in order to get shortlisted for GE-PI process.

MICAT Cutoff 2018

MICAT is a national level management based entrance exam conducted for the admission to PGDM-C programme offered by Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad. Candidates who will be getting the minimum MICAT cutoff marks will be shortlisted for further selection procedure. MICA does not follow the conventional method of the cutoff scores to select the candidates. Selection of candidates will be based on the performance of the candidates in MICAT 2018 and the profile of the candidate.

MICAT Result 2018

As mentioned above, the result of phase II of exam has been announced on February 28, 2018. Based on this score, the candidates will further be shortlisted for Group exercise and personal interview. The Institute will apply MICAT 2018 cutoff to shortlist the eligible and deserving candidates. For all these candidates, the further selection rounds will be conducted and thereafter the final candidates will be selected and granted admission. The list of finally selected candidates will be announced on March 31, 2018. 

The result of MICAT 2018 II is available only in online mode. The candidates can either visit the official website of the Institute to check the result or can simply access the direct link given on this page. To obtain the scorecard, the candidates will have to login to their student account and download the same. 

MICAT Selection Procedure 2018

There are no particular cutoff marks for MICAT 2018 admission announced by the Institute. The candidates who have appeared in CAT, XAT, GMAT exam will have to take the MICAT 2018 exam. This exam is conducted twice a year. Candidates can appear either in one or both the exams.

MICAT 2018 will be comprised of 6 sections which are as follows:

  • Psychometric
  • Verbal ability
  • Quantitative ability
  • General awareness
  • Divergent-Convergent Reasoning
  • Descriptive Test

Candidates who will qualify the psychometric test will be accessed for other remaining sections of MICAT exam. Candidates who will obtain the required score in all the six sections will be selected for the Group Exercise and Personal Interview.

Weightage Given per section

  • MICAT 2017 – 50%
  • GE – 20%
  • PI – 30%

Candidates who will meet the following criteria will be given admission:

  • 3 member panel of PI will take the decision regarding candidate’s admission
  • Out of 5 points in the GE, the score must be 4 or more.
  • Candidates must score at least 4 marks out of 5.
  • The candidate is among the top 10 percent of MICAT Score (excluding psychometric) out of the other candidates.

The final merit list of MICAT 2018 will be prepared on the basis of following scores:

  • The composite score obtained after the MICAT selection process.
  • Scores obtained in CAT/XAT/GMAT exam.
