MICAT Exam Syllabus

MICAT Syllabus 2018 – Candidates appearing for the exam must know the syllabus of MICAT 2018. MICAT is conducted for the admission to PGDM- Communication programmes offered by MICA. It is one of the most reputed institutes in India. The exam is conducted twice a year in order to select the best marks of the candidates among two. Candidates can appear either for one exam or both the exams. In order to crack this exam, candidates must have the complete knowledge of MICAT 2018 syllabus and topics which will be covered in the entrance exam. Though, MICA doesn’t release any official syllabus, we have prepared the syllabus of MICAT 2018 on the basis of previous year’s trends and experts advice. There will be the 140 objective and descriptive questions distributed in four sections - Verbal Ability (VA), Quantitative Ability (QA), General Awareness (GA), Divergent-Convergent Reasoning (DCR). All the aspirants must prepare for each section. It is suggested that they should cover all the important topics which can be asked in the MICAT exam from all the sections in order to get success in this exam. MICAT is a highly competitive test, the candidates need to prepare well. With the help of MICAT 2018 syllabus, candidates will be able to begin their preparations in a proper structure.

MICAT application process 2018 is expected to be started in the last week of September. The entrance exam will be conducted in online mode and in December, 2018.

MICAT Syllabus 2018

Candidates appearing for MICAT 2018 must get familiar with the exam pattern of MICAT 2018. It will help them in formulating an effective strategy to crack the exam. Candidates can check the section wise questions and duration from the table given below. This table is prepared on the basis of previous year’s question papers. The number of question in each section may vary this year.

MICAT Syllabus 2018 – Psychometric Test

This purpose of this test is to examine the behavioural and characteristic qualities of the aspirants. This section contains psychometric questions that analyse the behaviour of the candidates. The Psychometric Test comprises objective type questions and it is compulsory for the candidates to answer all the questions. The other sections of only those candidates are evaluated who qualify the Psychometric Test.

MICAT Syllabus 2018 – Verbal Ability

This section is designed to test the candidate’s command over the English language. It will check the grammar and vocabulary of the candidate. 25 percent of the allotted marks will be deducted for the incorrect answers. In the Verbal Ability Sections, the questions are based on the following topics:

  • English usage or grammar
  • Sentence correction
  • Synonyms and antonyms
  • Fill in the blanks.
  • Analogies
  • Idioms
  • One word substitution
  • Jumbled paragraphs

MICAT Syllabus 2018 – Quantitative Ability

This section will evaluate the candidate’s ability to deal with numbers and solve mathematical problems. As per the syllabus of MICAT 2018, the questions in the QA sections are asked from the topics given below:

MICAT Syllabus 2018 – Descriptive Test
