MRIU Entrepreneurship Programme 2016

Manav Rachna International University conducted an ‘Entrepreneurship Sensitization Programme’ on January 28, 2016.

 
 
 
 
An ‘Entrepreneurship Sensitization Programme’ was conducted by Department of Students Welfare, Manav Rachna International University on January 28, 2016, to motivate students to come up with their own business ideas and participate at ‘Startup Weekend’ at Bootcamp Haryana Level.
 
The programme was being conducted in collaboration with Startup Accelerator Chamber of Commerce and Government of Haryana.
 
The event kick-started by lighting of the startup torch and a welcome note by Prof. I.K Kilam, Dean Students Welfare. It was followed by Mr. Sumeer Walia, Advisor cum Executive Director and co-founder, SACC, who gave a brief introduction of startups and their importance in recent times. 
 
Here students were invited to forming their teams and pitching their business ideas within the given time limit. They were given a preparation time of 15 minutes. The 10 teams participated, were judged by Mr. Chander Sharma (Founder & CEO Chander Sharma & Associates), Prof. I.K. Kilam (Dean Students Welfare) and Mr. Dev Kumar Dudeja – Assistant Prof. Mech –FET-MRIU.
 
 
 
 
 
Selected students from (FET, FMS, FCBS)MRIU & MRU worked in teams of 5 with earnest zeal and presented their business ideas on various fields like education, health, Child care, Environment and many more. 2 teams were selected for the Startup Weekend Bootcamp to be held at Gurgaon / Kurukshetra.
 
The event was a grand one and was a great learning experience where students were provided with the platform to nurture their entrepreneurial skills.
