Manav Rachna International University invites registrations for upcoming event Youth Literary Fest on February 9, 2016.

MRIU Literacy Fest
The Department of English, Faculty of Media Studies and Humanities, Manav Rachna International University will host an inter-college Youth Literary fest on February 9, 2016.
The youth literary fest is an inter-college event which will provide students with a platform to express themselves, and polish their knowledge of English literature and language by participating in various events.

Events at Youth Literary Fest:

  • Debate
  • Just a minute
  • Literary quiz
  • Poetry recitation
  • Short story writing
  • English classic movie screening 

Rule of the Event:

  • Participants will have to register for the fest by depositing a registration fee of INR 100
  • One can participate in a maximum of three events in the fest
  • For the team event (Literary quiz), the students will have to form their own team of two students
  • Topics for ‘Just a minute’ will be given to each participant by draw of chit. They will get one minute to speak on the topic
  • The participants for ‘Poetry recitation’ are allowed to recite any self-composed poem or a poem by an established poet. The participant is allowed to read out the poem. Judgment will be based on the style of recitation as well as the content
  • The topic for ‘Debate’ will be announced during the inauguration of the Youth Literary Festival
  • The topic for ‘Short Story Writing’ will be announced on the spot
  • Decision of the judges will be final
