MRIU Organises ‘Rural Health Camp’

The villagers were given the health related counselling during the 'Rural Health Club' conducted by MRIU.

Manav Rachna International University organized a ‘Rural Health Camp’ at Kheri Village. This camp was organised by the Faculty of Applied Science, MRIU under the aegis of Dr. O P Bhalla Foundation recently.
This is the third year in a row that the Foundation has held a camp at the Kheri village and have regular engagement with the villagers. A total of 35 people were treated and advised by the respected team of physiotherapy and nutrition and dietetics professionals led by Dr. Bhavana and Dr. Preeti.
A group of differently-abled children was counselled in this camp. The camp also served the people who were suffering from problems like knee, back and neck pain since long. Some had been suffering from postural ailments. Regular exercise, ergonomic advices and life-style modification were emphasized upon to halt and alter the deterioration level of the patient.

The activists also counselled the villagers about the importance of hygiene and exercises in maintaining a good health. Manav Rachna Dental College provided services such as tooth extraction, root canal and oral cancer screening among others.
