Manipal University Online Entrance Test M.Tech 2018 (MU OET PG) is an online entrance test organized by the Manipal University for the admission to various courses. Know all about MU OET PG 2018.


MU OET PG 2018 is an online entrance test conducted by the Manipal University which offers admissions to various engineering programmes available across Manipal Institute of Technology (M.Tech Programmes) and Manipal School of Information Sciences (M.E Programmes).  The candidates should crack the qualifying examination of MU OET PG 2018 in order to get admission as it is offering admissions to M.Tech/M.E courses in its various campuses across the country.

MU OET PG 2018 Eligibility criteria

  • The aspirants should have passed BE/B.Tech or equivalent in the respective discipline with minimum of 50% marks
  • Those who have passed Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE) in the respective disciplines with a minimum of 50% aggregate can apply.
  • For M.E (Big Data and Data Analytics), few seats are reserved for M.Sc. (Mathematics) and M.Sc. (Statistics) graduates. They are exempted from MU OET PG 2018 for admissions to the M.E course in Big Data and Data Analytics. They don’t need to appear for the exam.
  • NRI/Foreign nationals can also apply under Foreign/NRI category

MU OET PG 2018 Application Form

MU OET PG 2018 application form should be filed online by the candidates. The application fee can be paid in any of these ways; Demand Draft, Credit Card, Debit Card, and Net Banking, Mobile Payment, Wallet, Cash Card, and Multi Bank EMI.

To fill the application form, the candidates should register themselves by submitting their First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Gender, Email ID, Mobile and Date of Birth on the official website of Manipal University. The candidates should submit Program Name, Stream, and Category. Then they are supposed to fill the column for Country, State, City and Nationality to complete the registration process. The GATE qualifiers should enclose their GATE 2018 Score card with application form so that 10% extra marks will be added to their merit while calculating MU OET merit list.

  • Exam will be of 1 hour 30 minutes
  • There will be 60 MCQs
  • 50 questions will be from respective disciple and 10 from Engineering Mathematics
  • 4 marks will be awarded for each right  answer
  • 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer
  • Negative marking is there

MU OET PG 2018 Slot Booking

The candidates can book the slot for their examination through online. The aspirants can start booking their slots in the last week of May 2018 tentatively. By submitting application number and password, they can book the slots for the exam.

MU OET PG 2018 Admit Card

Once the slot booking is done, the candidate will be provided with the admit card of MU OET PG 2018. Without booking the slot, the admit card will not be issued to the candidates. The system will generate the admit card immediately after booking a slot. If the admit card is not issued within 24 hours, candidates should contact the officials.  On the day of MU OET PG 2018 exam, the candidates must carry their application confirmation page, valid photo ID and the admit card

MU OET PG 2018 Result

By last week of June, Manipal University will publish their results. on the basis of the result in the MU OET PG 2018, the candidates will be given admission to various courses in various campuses. The result will determine the eligibility of the candidate for admission under Manipal University.

MU OET PG 2018 Counselling

The counselling will be held only for those qualifiers in the entrance examination and the candidates will be given admission to various courses during the time of MU OET PG counselling 2018. It is expected to be held in the month of August 2018. The entire counselling process will be held online.
