This will be a great sigh of relief for students who aspire to get admission in Mumbai University as it is likely to add 28 new colleges to the list.
The Mumbai University has sent a proposal to the state government to add shortlisted 28 new colleges under the University college listing. The state government is expected to announce its decision on the proposal by the end of July 2016.
If proposed, then 28 new colleges will be added in Mumbai University from this academic year, but it will be difficult to start courses at these colleges from the current session onward. So, students have to wait more for admission purposes.
But, still this will be a great sigh of relief as students who aspire to get admission in Mumbai University but are unable to do so due to shortage of Colleges and so the seats.
Notably, 2016 admissions at Mumbai University to various courses are now over and new academic sessions commenced from July 4.
