The development in technology has touched new heights in the last decade. There was a time when we knew what career to pursue, however; jobs for the next generation might well have not been defined/created as of now.
Besides academic exchanges between Nalanda University and Deakin University, a new memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between the two universities on the possibility of having thinkers-in-residence and students.
Dr David Halliwell, director of the Centre for Regional and Rural Futures (CeRRF) at Deakin University, will be delivering the inaugural lecture of the Nalanda-Deakin Annual Lecture series. He will be speaking in Delhi on November 10 and Rajgir on November 11. He will speak on the "Industry Driven research needs in rural, regional and local communities." He will touch topics like how smart technology is enhancing productivity at the rural and regional levels and what sort of developments are needed in rural India, particularly in Bihar.
Apart from this, Nalanda University has signed another MoU with Bihar Heritage Development Society. As per this MoU, they will conduct Rajgir Archaeological Survey Project (RASP). The project aims to conduct an archaeological survey in Rajgir to have a better overview of the archaeological landscape of the city.
