NATA 2018- Council of Architecture (CoA) has released the NATA Application form on 18 January 2018. Candidates who are eligible for the test can apply online now. The last date to fill the online application is 02 March 2018. Interested candidates have to send their completely filled application form before the last date in order to avoid any hassles. Make sure, you upload the scanned copy of photograph and signature along with the application fee to complete the registration form.

National Aptitude Test in Architecture is a national level entrance examination, conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA) to provide admissions to the various colleges across the country. The exam tests a candidate’s ability and aptitude as per the skills required for an architecture course. The examination will be held on 29 April 2018 as a single day examination. NATA examination consists of two parts – offline drawing test and online aesthetic sensitivity test. The drawing test will consist of three questions while the sensitivity test will consist of 40 multiple-choice questions. There is no provision of negative marking in the sensitivity test. The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination of NATA 2018. Those candidates who have secured fair marks will be shortlisted for the admission to the various participating colleges in India. It is a test only meant for the aspirants who want to pursue their career in architecture. Aspirants are required to fill up the registration form before the last date after paying the application or registration fee.

NATA 2018 Eligibility criteria

The applicants of NATA 2018 must fulfill the basic eligibility criteria which are prescribed by the official authority of the exam. These are the minimum eligibility norms which are needed from the side of the candidates as eligibility. Those who can’t match with these criteria will not be eligible to appear for NATA 2018.

Age Limit:

The lower age limit defined by the Board has been scrapped by now so candidates of any age are eligible to appear for NATA 2018. However, they have to comply with any requirement defined by the admission or counseling authority. There is no age limit


  • Candidates must fulfill the following academic norms to be eligible for admission to B.Arch. Course
  •  Qualified/appearing 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Qualified/appearing 10+3 Diploma in any stream recognized by State/ Central Government with a least 50% aggregate marks with Mathematics
  • Passed/appearing International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling with 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of the exam.

NATA 2018 Application Form

All the candidates must read the instructions before proceeding to fill up the application form of NATA 2018.

Aspirants can apply for NATA 2018 only in online mode as no offline exams will be conducted. Candidates are allowed to apply only once, no multiple application forms will be accepted. If multiple applications are found from the same candidate, the application form will be rejected and the applicant will not be allowed to sit for the exam at any cost. The candidates should be very careful while filling up the application form. It is advised that the candidates should have everything ready before they fill up the application form of NATA.

NATA 2018 Registration Procedure

There are four simple steps to be followed by each and every interested candidate out there while filling up the application form.

Filling up the online NATA application form 2018 – The candidates should fill their online application form by entering the required particulars in the appropriate fields in the application form. After the successfully filling up all the details in the application form, the candidates will be provided with an Application Number and the Password which they have to keep it confidential. For further login, they will be asked to enter their application/registration number along with the password to access their student login account.

Online Uploading of Scanned Images – Candidates are required to upload their photograph, signature and thumb impression which is compulsory for all the candidates. All the images must be scanned in JPG Format. Aspirants must upload all the images together as there is no provision to upload images separately.

Application Fee payment – The examination fee is INR 1250 for all candidates except Dubai aspirants. Dubai candidates should pay INR of 7000 before the admit card is made available which will be notified by Board. The payment can be made through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking only. No other modes of fund transfer/payment will be available.

Confirmation Page – Candidates must download the confirmation page right after the entire process of NATA 2018 registration along with the payment of registration fee. For further references, take print out of the page and keep it safe as it will be required during the time of counselling and other processes related to NATA admission.

The exam pattern or the paper pattern of NATA explains the mode of exam, type of questions asked and other information regarding the exam. The candidates should have a complete knowledge about the exam so that they can prepare strategies and plans accordingly.

NATA 2018 Admit Card

Candidates, who have successfully submitted the application form of NATA 2018, will be issued admit card. Candidates have to download the soft copy of the admit card and take a print out of it. The exam centre allotted to the candidates will be mentioned in the NATA 2018 Hall Ticket. An examination roll number will also be generated for each candidate. Along with the admit card, candidates are required to carry an identical copy of their original photograph and one photo identity card to the examination centre. Candidates are advised to retain their admit card till the end of the admission process.

NATA 2018 Cut Off

Cut off of NATA 2018 is the closing rank for admission to the architecture programmes in India. On the basis of the candidate’s performance in exam, the cut offs will be made. After NATA result 2018, the cut off will be announced by the official authority. The candidates are required to meet the cut off prescribed by the organizing body for the admission.

NATA 2018 Result

Candidates can check their NATA result 2018 on the official website once it is declared. The result of NATA 2018 displays the score that they have obtained in each component of the exam, merit rank as well as the percentile score deduced from the merit list. The NATA result will be commenced in the month of June 2018. On the basis of the results, merit rank listing of the candidates will be made and given admission to various participating institutes.

NATA 2018 Counselling

There will be no common counselling held for admission to the Participating Institutes of NATA 2018. The Counselling will be done by the participating institutes individually, based on the marks achieved by the candidates. The ratio of marks obtained in NATA 2018 and the qualifying examination will be 50:50. Candidates have to apply for admission to the participating institutions as per the scheduled. At the time of reporting for the counselling, candidates should carry all the documents/ certification as required for verification.

NATA 2018 Answer Key

The model answers for the MCQ portion will be issued online in the last week of May 2018. With the help of NATA Answer key 2018, candidates will be able to calculate their probable scores and analyze their performance in the qualifying examination. The response sheet of each candidate will be published online before announcing the answer key of NATA 2018. Candidates can request for rechecking of the machine recorded responses online by making a payment of INR 1000 per question once the answer key is published.

  • NATA is conducted as a one-day examination on 29 April 2018.
  • National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) will be held in two parts, one will be in online mode and the drawing test in offline mode.
  • The “Best of 5” attempt system has been scrapped. Candidates will be allowed to appear for NATA 2018 only once.
  • The syllabus and Exam Pattern of NATA 2018 have been completely revamped.
