Council of Architecture (COA) has announced the result of NATA 2017 online, on 09 June 2017. National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) 2017 was conducted on 16 April 2017 for admission to 5-year B. Arch programme. It is a national level entrance exam that was conducted in offline (Pen & Paper) mode. A total of 37,246 candidates were appeared for NATA 2017 and only 24,540 candidates were declared qualified. While 42,098 had registered for the exam, however, only 37,246 had taken the NATA 2017.

There are approximately 24, 000 seats in 450 recognized institutes/colleges across the country that offer Bachelor of Architecture course (05 years). Most of them consider NATA scores for granting admission in B.Arch course. To check the NATA 2017 result, click the below given link-

How to check NATA Result 2017?

Candidates need to follow all the mentioned steps accurately and enter the exact information to access their result.

  • Click the above given link or visit the official website of NATA,
  • Login to your respective account by entering the Application number and password in the blanks
  • The complete result of NATA 2017 will appear on your computer’s screen

The NATA 2017 result would reveal the marks obtained out of 200 in each section Alongside, candidates will get the details of merit rank and percentile score. Candidates are advised to download the result or save the result in your computer for future use. The scores of NATA-2017shall be valid only for admission in the session 2017-18.

Minimum Qualifying Criteria

Candidates should satisfy all the minimum qualifying criteria in order to get admission in the desired college. Only candidates who have the minimum marks will be called for the counselling process.

  • Minimum 25% must be obtained in MCQ portion (30 out of 120)
  • Minimum 25% must be obtained in Drawing portion (20 out of 80)
  • Overall qualifying marks (out of 200) would be based on post-exam statistics and at the discretion of the Council.

Note: The percentile score of the candidate will be based on their merit ranking as mentioned in the merit list.

Tie Breaking Rules

While preparing merit list, if two or more candidates grabbed the same overall marks then the official employ the tie braking criteria to give every student a defined rank. Below are the rules of tie breaking that would be implemented accordingly-

  1. Preference will be given to the candidates who attain highest overall marks in Mathematics test
  2. Second preference will be given to the candidates who have written less wrong answers in Mathematics test
  3. If the problem persists, the preference will be provided to the candidate who have highest marks in Aptitude test
  4. For further solution, candidates who have marked less wrong answers in aptitude test
  5. At last, the date of birth will be considered to provide ranks.
