National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) invites applications through online and offline mode for the 10th and 12th classes for the academic session of 2016-17.
National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has announced admissions for 10th and 12th classes for the academic session of 2016-17 through a notification.
Application for the admission in 10th and 12th classes can be submitted in offline and online mode. NIOS has given clear, precise and inclusive instructions about the admission process on its official websites. The NIOS 2016 admission process has been categorised into four different streams.
‘Stream 1’ online admission is open for new learners for April 2017 examination. Candidates will be able to take admission as per the eligibility criteria that NIOS has already laid down for secondary and higher secondary classes. These learners will be eligible to appear in the public examinations in April 2017 Exam for the first time.
In ‘Stream 1’, NIOS will conduct admissions for both the classes until June 30, 2016 without late fee, up to August 15, 2016 with a late fee of INR 200 and until August 31, 2016 with a late fee of INR 400.
‘Stream 2’ is an online admission process that allows candidates from any other recognised boards who have appeared for but couldn’t clear and/or were eligible but couldn’t appear for the public examination of senior secondary/secondary examinations. For these candidates, admission will remain open untill June 30, 2016.
In the ‘Stream 3’ and ‘Stream 4’ candidates will be able to take admission in secondary and senior secondary through On Demand Examination System (ODES). Candidates in Stream 3 and Stream 4 can take admission throughout the year.
