National Seminar on Environmental Ethics

The Department of Geography of Kalindi College-University of Delhi is conducting a national seminar on Environmental Ethics, Resource Depletion and Sustainable Development on February 25, 2016 and February 26, 2016. The national seminar is University Grants Commission (UGC) sponsored.

The seminar would provide an ideal podium for the scholars from different parts of India to present exchange their research findings and ideas. The sub themes of technical sessions of the seminar are as follows:

  • People, Resource and Sustainability
  • Resource Depletion and Appraisal
  • Environmental Issues in Development
  • Biodiversity Loss and Conservation
  • Regional Disparities and Sustainable Development
  • Role of Remote Sensing and GIS in Development
  • Eco-tourism and Development
  • Natural Hazards and Disasters and their impact on Environment and Development
  • Geographical Awareness and Education
  • Urban Environmental Issues in India
  • Role of Geography in Resource Management and Sustainable Development

NOTE:

  • Registration is compulsory for all participants
  • The registration fee covers Seminar Kit, Breakfast and working lunch
  • No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the seminar
  • Participants should arrange their accommodation; however the organisers will extend al possible assistance towards the same. A list of hotels and guest houses will be provided.
