National Workshop on Power Electronics (NWPE)-2015 on theme ‘Power Electronics for Sustainable Energy’, under the aegis of National Mission on Power Electronics Technology (NaMPET)-II an initiative of DeitY is being organised during November 6 and 7, 2015 at Dr. B R Ambedkar Auditorium-DTU by the Department of Electrical Engineering of Delhi Technological University (DTU). The National Workshop on Power Electronics NWPE is one of the major events of National Mission on Power Electronics Technology (NaMPET) phase-II.

Objectives of the Workshop:

The workshop intends to offer a common platform and unique opportunity to the experts from major industries, premier Academic Institutions and distinguished practitioners in Power Electronics technology deployment and research scholars to exchange their experiences, new ideas, practical challenges encountered and the possible solutions towards the theme of the induction programme.

Topics to be covered:

  • Recent Trends in Power Electronics for Sustainable Energy.
  • Solar and Wind Energy and its connectivity to power grid.
  • Power Electronics Application in Smart Grid/ Smart Cities.
  • Energy Storage Systems and Pico-grids.
  • Control of grid connected Power electronic System with Digital Signal Processing and System on Programmable Chip.
  • Efficient Appliances & Power Quality.
  • Electric Vehicles and Smart Urban Transportation.

All payments should be made through non-refundable DD drawn in favour of “Registrar, DTU” payable at State Bank of India, DCE Branch (Branch Code: 010446). The participant will have to make their own arrangement for travel, boarding & lodging.

Participants:

Participants from Industry, Academic and Research institutions who are working in an area relevant to the theme of the workshop are invited. The number of participants are limited to 70.

Exhibitors:

The Power Electronics Industries would be provided space to exhibit their products and technologies during the workshop. The space would be provided @ Rs. 10000/- per stall per day.
