NEET PG Exam

NEET PG 2018 – National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Post Graduate (NEET-PG) is the one and only national level, eligibility cum entrance exam that MBBS and BDS graduates have to take if they want to pursue a postgraduate degree in any specialization of their choice. Conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE), NEET PG is a national level entrance exam and is the only way for interested candidates to get admission in some of the top ranking government and private medical as well as top dental colleges and deemed universities at the state and all India level. As it is a national level entrance exam, the competition is sure to remain touch.

NEET PG 2018 exam will be held for admission to post graduation courses to candidates who already have or just to pass MBBS or BDS final semester exams. NEET PG exam 2018 will enable candidates to take admission in MD, MS, PG diploma courses after doing their MBBS degree and MDS courses after BDS. Marks obtained in NEET PG exam are acceptable to all the top ranking medical colleges as well as dental colleges across India. Last year, NEET PG was held at 86 test centres in 41 cities from December 5th to 13th, 2016. this year too, the exam is expected to be held around the same time.

NEET PG 2018 came into force last year after a directive from the Supreme Court of India wherein the epic court asked the government of India to make NEET as the single entrance exam for admission to medical colleges at the undergraduate level and similarly, NEET PG for admission to medical and dental specialization at master's degree level. Scores obtained in NEET PG will be accepted at all the medical and dental colleges throughout India for admission to master’s degree courses. NEET 2018 PG exam, like last year, will be conducted in a CBT (Computer Based Test) mode only.

NEET PG question paper will consist of 300 multiple-choice questions for admission into MD, MS and PG diploma courses; whereas for candidates seeking admission in MDS courses have to solve 240 multiple-choice questions. For NEET PG medical, the exam duration will remain 3 hours and 30 minutes while for NEET MDS 2018, 3 hours to solve the question paper.
