NEET PG 2018 Merit List

NEET PG 2018 merit list is a complete list of candidates who have appeared for the exam. The rank list for NEET PG 2018 has been released by National Board of Examinations (NBE) and candidates can now check the same by logging into the website. NEET PG merit list consists scores of all the candidates together with their testing Ids and names. Besides this, NEET PG rank list also contains the details about whether or not the candidate has qualified for NEET PG counselling and admission to PG program basis their rank. The fact worth remembering here is that candidates who have done BDS need to take NEET MDS and secure a high place in the merit list to take admission in the dental colleges across India. Hence, NEET PG merit list is of a grave concern.

As NEET PG result is already out, NBE has released several NEET PG 2018 merit lists: All India NEET PG 2018 rank list, All India 50% quota Rank, All India 50% quota category rank and State quota/ Private medical colleges/Deemed University/AFMS Rank. However, the merit list of NEET PG is not the indication that a candidate has qualified for NEET PG counselling. The reason being, only those who score above NEET PG cut off for a specific category to get admission to any of the top medical colleges or top dental colleges in case of students who have BDS degree.

As per the NEET PG merit list 2017, a total number of 31330 students qualified and were eligible to participate in the online counselling of NEET PG Exam, which was held to give admission to all India 50% quota seats in MS, MD and PG diploma courses in the government medical colleges across India. The number of candidates making it to NEET PG 2018 merit list is expected to remain the same. Whereas admission to state quota seats for MD, MS and PG diploma courses will be done basis the state NEET PG rank list, which is also drawn from NEET PG 2018 Result.

NEET PG 2018 Merit List & Qualifying Percentile

In NEET PG 2018 merit list, only the candidates who score equal to and above the qualifying percentile for their respective categories will be deemed eligible. However, this does not mean they will get a seat in the medical and/or dental colleges in India. Instead, they should have enough marks to stand high in the NEET PG rank list to finally make it to NEET PG cut off for the purpose. In the table given below, we have given NEET 2017 qualifying percentile and the modified one for the same year.
