However, the recent advances in technology, demographics, evolution of business practices and an overall change in the global economy have transformed the Indian education scenario drastically in the last few years.

As someone rightly said, ‘Beauty has a way of capturing attention’. Beauty treatments and fashion trends have always been a rage but as more and more people are becoming conscious about their looks, this sector is only booming. With the recent boom in the entertainment industry and more competition in the modelling world, the demand for good looks has come up like never before. This has led to a need for professionals to make people look good. This is where a makeup artist is required.

Truly speaking, a good makeup artist is in demand in every sphere. Hence, pursuing a career in this field makes great sense. An entrepreneur can give a thought to start his/her own beauty salon or cosmetic company. However, if someone is looking for job opportunities with employers, the choices are very bright.

Pet Groomers:

In this fast-paced world where everyone is on their toes all the time, it gets quite difficult to find personal time for our pets and this is where we require pet groomers to take care of our pets. If you are an animal lover, this is the career for you. Ethical Hacker:

For all those who hack friends’ social networking accounts for 'fun', for those who are good at cracking passwords and unlocking a locked system, those who spend a majority of their time experimenting with various codes – this is a great way to put those grey cells to a good use. You can breach the security of computer systems and get paid for it! Yes, you read that right. A plethora of companies look for ethical hackers for various security purposes.

Ethical hacking, also known as penetration testing, intrusion testing or red teaming is used to find loopholes in an IT system and break into it. An ethical hacker is a computer and network expert who attacks a security system on behalf of its owners, seeking vulnerabilities that a malicious hacker could exploit. This work is ethical since it is performed to increase the safety of the computer systems, but only at the request of the company that owns the system. You need to have a good knowledge of coding in different programming languages. You can start your career by interning for an organisation and then convert it to a permanent job.

Graphic Designer:

In simple terms, graphic designing is visual communication. A graphic designer makes a product visually appealing. So, a good design can always help brands catch a consumer’s attention. Graphic designers develop the layout and product design of newspapers, magazines, corporate reports, journals and other publications. They also create the promotional displays like marketing brochures for services and products, packaging, design distinctive logos for businesses and products. Due to the tremendous growth of the media industry and excellent employment options available, graphic designing has fast become a lucrative career option in India.

Gerontology:

As we age, our body goes through plenty of changes, both mentally and physically. Physical changes may include wrinkles, poor coordination skills, loss of muscle mass etc. Mental changes may include loss of memory, depression etc. To help old-age people tackle these issues, there is a major demand for Gerontologists.
