NIFT 2017 Application Process

NIFT 2018 Application Process: National Institute of Fashion Technology, Mumbai conducts the NIFT exam every year to admit students in various courses in the field of Fashion Technology and design courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level from all over India. NIFT application process has started from October 20, 2018, and candidates can download the application form from the official website now. In the following lines, we have provided the easy steps to keep in mind when filling up the application form to ensure you face no hassles during the NIFT exam process. 

NIFT 2018 examination is slated to be conducted on January 21, 2018. NIFT 2018 application process has started online and candidates can fill the NIFT 2018 application forms on the official website until December 29, 2017, and until  January 2, 2018, with a late fee of INR 5000. All the entries made in the application form are required to be filled in English. Besides this, the window to edit and/or update the application form will remain open from December 30, 2017, 12:00 hours to January 2, 2018, 16:00 hours. NIFT Admit Cards will be available for download from January 9. 2018 13:00 hours onwards and the exam is to be held on  January 21, 2018.

NIFT 2018 Application Process: How to Fill Application Form?

Those who want to know the NIFT 2018 application process and fill up the forms without committing any mistake, wasting too much of time and efforts, here we are providing them with quick and easy to follow steps.

  1. Candidates have to register online on the official website,
  2. Create a login and register for the desired programme. You must have a valid email ID.
  3. Once you have logged in, fill in the NIFT 2017 application form followed by uploading a scanned photograph and signature.
  4. You will need to pay a required application fee to complete the process.
  5. Once you have completed the procedures, review and re-check the filled up form before submitting it.
  6. Candidates can view the application by clicking on the ‘Print Application’ and take a printout of the same.
  7. Keep it handy for future references.

NIFT 2018 Application Process:  Application Fee

In NIFT 2018 application process, candidates will be required to pay a required application fee of INR 1500 in case of General/OBC category and INR 750 in case of SC/ST/PHP candidates. Payment can be completed by two options- Demand Draft and Debit/Credit Card. Candidates may note that once the application fee is paid and form has been submitted, you cannot change or modify the information.

NIFT 2018 Application Process: Documents Required

To complete NIFT 2018 application process, here is the complete list of documents that candidates require and need to keep handy. These documents will help students complete their NIFT application process without much of hassles whatsoever.  

  • Valid email ID (for registration purposes)
  • Personal and educational qualification details
  • Caste certificate (for SC/ST candidates)
  • Disability certificate in case of physically handicapped candidates
  • A scanned photograph of the candidate in jpg/jpeg format (size-50 KB)
  • A scanned signature in jpg/jpeg format (size-50 KB)

NIFT 2018 Application Process: Seat Reservation

To help students know how the seat reservation criteria and fill the right category at the time of NIFT 2018 application process, given below is the reservation of seats for different categories. Candidates need to keep these in mind.

  • ST- 7.5%
  • OBC (Non-Creamy)- 27%
