NIFT 2017 Application Process

The NIFT 2017 examination is slated to be conducted on February 12, 2017. The online application process has started; candidates can fill the NIFT 2017 application forms until January 10, 2017 or  January 16, 2017 (including late fees) on the official website. All the entries made in the application form are required to be filled in English.

How to Fill the NIFT 2017 Online Application Form?

Given below are the steps to fill up the NIFT 2017 online application form-

  1. Candidates have to register online on the official website,
  2. Create a login and register for the desired programme. You must have a valid email ID.
  3. Once you have logged in, fill in the NIFT 2017 application form followed by uploading a scanned photograph and signature.
  4. You will need to pay a requisite application fee to complete the process.
  5. Once you have completed the procedures, review and re-check the filled up form before submitting it.
  6. Candidates can view the application by clicking on the ‘Print Application’ and take a printout of the same.
  7. Keep it handy for future references.

NIFT 2017 Application Fee

Candidates will be required to pay a requisite application fee of INR 1500 in case of General/OBC category and INR 750 in case of SC/ST/PHP candidates. Payment can be completed by two options- Demand Draft and Debit/Credit Card.

Candidates may note that once the application fee is paid and form has been submitted, you cannot change or modify the information.

If you are paying the NIFT 2017 application fee via Demand Draft, make it in favour of ‘NIFT HO’, payable at New Delhi of applicable application fee and send it to the following address-

NIFT 2017 Essential Documents

Before filling the application form, one must have the following essential documents readily available-

  • Valid email ID (for registration purposes)
  • Personal and educational qualification details
  • Caste certificate (for SC/ST candidates)
  • Disability certificate in case of physically handicapped candidates
  • A scanned photograph of the candidate in jpg/jpeg format (size-50 KB)
  • A scanned signature in jpg/jpeg format (size-50 KB)

NIFT 2017 Seat Reservation

The reservation of seats for different categories are mentioned below-

  • SC- 15%
  • ST- 7.5%
  • OBC (Non-Creamy)- 27%
  • Differently Abled Person (PHP)- 3%
  • Foreign Nationals/SAARC/NRI- 15%
  • State Domicile- 20%
