NIT Kurukshetra Annual Fest Altius’16 Ended on High Note

Altius’16 techno-managerial fest of NIT Kurukshetra was organized between October 7 and 9, 2016.

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra hosted its annual fest between October 7 and 9, 2016.
 
Altius is an annual techno-managerial fest of NIT Kurukshetra meant only for NIT Kurukshetra students. The fest is organized every year to provide a platform to the students to showcase their talents and to interact with the other students especially in case of first year students. Through this fest, the students get familiar with the college culture and come closer to other students.
 
 
 
 
This fest also acts as a warm up for the huge technical extravaganza, Techspardha’17, which will be attended by the students across the country. The societies that came together and made Altius’16 a success are:

  • Mechsoc
  • Mexperts
  • Microbus
  • Infrastructure
  • Electroreck
  • I cell

 

 
54 different events were organized in different categories including Business Plan, Vidhwaan, Game of Brains, Mr. And Ms. NITK, Roll-a-coaster, Technova, Micro Logic, Town Planning and many more. The students participated enthusiastically in making this a successful one.
 
 
 
Day 1 commenced with the inauguration ceremony with Sh. Rishi Mehta GM-Global Communities Development Startup Commons Global, New Delhi as the Guest of Honour and Dr. Satish Kumar, Director, NIT Kurukshetra as the chief Guest. Students were highly motivated by Sh. Rishi Mehta and Dr. Satish Kumar to think innovatively and inspired them to be job providers not job seekers.
 
 
 
On the following students is a huge quantity participated in the various events and proved their talents. The final day celebrated with the valedictory ceremony where the winners in different categories as well as conveners and co-conveners were awarded at the Jublee Hall of the institute. Following the valedictory ceremony, a dandia cum bhangra night was organized on the occasion of Navratra. The students thoroughly enjoyed the dandia night and cherished every moment of the Altius’16.
