National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra celebrated 67th Republic day on January 26, 2016. Republic day is being celebrated across the country every year on January 26th to recognize the enforcement of Indian Constitution in the year 1950.

The event started at NIT Kurukshetra with a short march in the campus by the students from NCC (National Cadet Corps). Flag hoisting ceremony that was conducted by the director of NIT Kurukshetra, Prof Anand Mohan, followed it. Students also performed a skit ‘Bharat Mata’ to depict the Pathankot attack and gave tribute to the brave hearts who had lost their lives in the counter-terrorist operation.

The atmosphere was mesmerized with patriotic feeling when some students from ‘Shiksha’ performed on patriotic songs.
