Yuva and Seva foundation organized a one day work shop ‘480 minutes for Seva Path’ at National Institute of Technology(NIT), Kurukshetra on September 4, 2016 at Jublee Hall, with the aim to encourage the youth who wish to serve the society.
The workshop was addressed by many eminent personalities including Mr. Sukumar, National Gen.Secretaryof Saksham, Mr. Krishan, Prant Seva Pramukh RSS, Prof. Sath Hans, Dean of Students Welfare NIT Kuruskhetra and many other leaders and social workers of the organization. The workshop also witnessed delegates from all over Haryana.
The 8 hour workshop kick started from 9:00 a.m. and continued till 5:00 pm was divided into 5 sessions. In every session various ongoing social projects as well as documentaries were presented by the inspirational personalities which motivated the audience and filled them with the sense of nationalism to serve and work for the nation.
Few skits promoting social work were also presented by the students at the event. There was a power point presentation by the members of Shiksha and Rooh society about how they inspire the local underprivileged students around NIT Kurukshetra and help them in providing proper education and guidance everyday throughout the year. Both the societies are working together under the guidance of the Professors of NIT Kurukshetra.
The members of both the societies are the students of NIT Kurukshetra and were the source of inspiration for the spectators as they are efficiently utilizing their time by serving the nation in a best way possible. The former students of Shiksha and Rooh who once had no access to the proper education are now performing very well in their lives and are part of good institutions. Several real life experiences about social services such as women empowerment, use of biodegradable products, swatch bharat abhiyan etc. were shared by the youth present there which motivated everyone at the workshop.
