 JEE Main 2016 Cutoff for B. Tech Electronics & communication Engineering

The cutoff for JEE Main has been decreasing over the past three years. Whereas it was 115 (general) in 2014, it dropped to 105 in 2015 and 100 in 2016. The 2016 cutoff for ST candidates is 48 and 52 for SC candidates. OBC-NCL candidates have a cutoff of 70 for the year 2016.
It is believed that the drop in cutoff for JEE Main 2016 is due to the rise in the number of candidates appearing for JEE Advanced. The number of top candidates selected for JEE Advanced from JEE Main 2016 touched 2 lakh, which was an increase of 50,000. However, just 1.5 lakh toppers from JEE Main 2015 were selected to appear for JEE Advanced 2015.

Specialisations in B. Tech Electronics & communication Engineering

Students who have not yet completed their class 12 should be appearing for their qualifying final exams in 2017.

• Applicants need to have Aadhaar Cards and those who do not can apply for the same at Aadhaar Card enrolment centres. However, applicants from Meghalaya, Assam and J&K can use other valid government ID numbers if they choose these states as their city of examination.
